SOLIDIFYING PARTNERSHIP FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) led by the Chairman, Hajiya Saratu Mama Shafii on Friday 23rd September 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the Administrator and staff of the National Judicial Institute (NJI) to officially introduce the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal to the management of the Institute.
In Her Opening remark, the Chairman of the Tribunal, Hajiya Saratu Mama Shafii highlighted some achievements of the Tribunal upon inception and used the avenue to solicit for the NJI’s collaboration in training its members and staff to build capacity which will aid delivery of its mandates.
The Trainings areas include judicial proceedings, judgement writing, registry and case management, as well as providing administrative guidance, counsel and technical support where necessary with a view to enhancing the effectiveness of the Tribunal in the discharge of its mandates.
The Administrator of the Institute, Honourable Justice Salisu, in his response congratulated the CCPT for its commencement despite the challenges new agencies face and assured the Tribunal of adequate support and needed from the NJI.
Citing that the Institute has a full calendar of courses for judicial related agencies and organizations which the Tribunal can take advantage of to achieve the needed capacity in service delivery.
