The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state.
The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof Abayomi Fashina, who was the state Returning Officer declared Uzodimma re-elected on Sunday morning at about 10 am after over eight hours of collation of local government results.

The swearing in was done in batches of five.
The first five ministers sworn in were:

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Engr. Abubakar Momoh as the Minister of Niger Delta Development.
The president announced this in a statement which Ajuri Ngelale, his spokesman, issued on his behalf on Sunday night.
Momoh was formerly deployed to the Ministry of Youth.
In the statement, the president announced that a new Youth Minister would be appointed soon
The president also changed some portfolios as listed below.
“(A) H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy
“(B) Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Interior
“(C) Hon. Sa’idu Alkali is redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Transportation
“Furthermore, both Ministers of State in the Oil & Gas sector are now domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following designations:
“(i) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources
“(ii) Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo is the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources”
The President also approved the renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management as the Federal Ministry of Environment.
“All aforementioned changes take immediate effect by these directives of the President,”
