AMAC CHAIRMAN RECEIVES NIPPS MEMBERS OF STUDY TOUR
The 44th set of Senior Executive course of NIPSS kuru paid a courtesy visit to the Executive chairman today on a study tour on Local Governments Autonomy and Sustainability.
The Chairman who answered all their questions gave a brief history of AMAC, the Good People of AMAC and the Administrative previews with analysis and facts about AMAC and how Local Government Administration should be.
The team was led by high Power delegations from the Military, Police, Presidency, Captains of Industries, beauroctats and were satisfied with what they've gotten from the words of expiriences of the Digital and Conceptual Chairman.

Amac delegation arrives Kisumu, Kenya for the 9th edition of the Africities Summit. The Africities Summit is the largest democratic gathering organised in Africa, and is the main platform for dialogue on decentralisation and local governance, attracting the participation of hundreds of African cities. The theme of “The Role of Intermediary Cities of Africa in the Implementation of Agenda 2030 of the United Nations and the African Union Agenda 2063”.
AMAC as a member of the covenant of Mayor in sub Sahara Africa have been working on our action plan to address issues around climate change …

AMAC CHAIRMAN WISHES MUSLIMS A HAPPY EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION
The Executive Chairman of AMAC, Hon. (DR.) Abdullahi Adamu Candido has urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan and remain responsible, steadfast and Prayerful to our Dear Nation.
The Chairman who gave the admonition in his goodwill message to mark the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr to the Good People of AMAC at his Jiwa Country home, saying the occasion should be used to reflect on their relationship with Allah (SWT).
“We give all thanks and praises to Almighty Allah (SWT) for making it possible for us to join other Muslim Umma across the world to witness and celebrate this important religious occasion – the 2022 Eid-el-Fitr.
“As you all know, the Eid-el-Fitr celebration formally marks the end of the obligatory Ramadan fast which is observed annually by Muslims".
“It is, therefore, my sincere hope that we will use the lessons of the Ramadan fast and continue to be responsible in both our utterances and conduct even after the Ramadan period.
“The Eid-el-Fitr occasion should be used to reflect on our past activities and see how we fared spiritually so that we can take corrective measures towards improving our relationship with Allah (SWT) and the Sunnah of our Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
While expressing happiness over the relative peaceful co-existing in the AMAC, as an advocate of Peace and Unity, the Chairman called on Muslim faithful and people of other faiths in the Capital City to use the occasion of the celebration to consolidate the harmonious coexistence in the state.
According to him, people should use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to strengthen existing relationships and also establish new ones.
He Prays for a Succesfull and peaceful Nigeria with a strengthened security and improved Economy.

Activation of the largest regional project to implement the Abuja Call to Action.
On Tuesday April 26th, 2022, the Regional Director of the Road to Peace in West Africa Alliance, Olusegun Charles Vidjannagni and his team who traveled to Nigeria had an official meeting with Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, the Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
The team presented the ''Road to 2023 Peaceful Elections in Benin Republic, Nigeria and Togo Project" and the different activities that will be carried out in the countries from August 2022 to March 2023. The project's aim is to mobilise the youth to get involved in the Abuja Call to Action and strengthen the conditions for 2023 peaceful elections particularly in Nigeria, the giant of Africa, as a guarantee for stability, regional integration, equality, women and girl’s empowerment and economic growth in West Africa.
The Project Management Team has chosen Nigeria to host the project's launching in August 2022 in Abuja because of the country’s strategic position that confers the title of bellwether of the subregion on it and the fact that it has the largest youth population in West Africa. The Federal Capital City of Nigeria will also be home to the West African Games for Peace which will bring the winners of the different national competitions together for the regional prizes.
By signing the World Ball for Peace in West Africa, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido became one of our distinguished West Africa Messengers of Sustainable Peace and Goodwill Ambassadors.
