AKUTAH VISITS PDP EXPANDED CAUCUS IN BENUE, DRUMS SUPPORT FOR TINUBU’S 2027 RE-ELECTION

The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and a frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Benue gubernatorial election, Pius Akutah, has visited the residence of former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, where the Benue State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Expanded Caucus meeting was held, to solicit support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Dr. Akutah, who was accompanied by APC stakeholders in the state, told PDP leaders and members that his presence at the meeting was to identify with party members who have already shown overwhelming support for President Tinubu and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, a prominent son of Benue State.
He commended former Governor Ortom, describing him as a leader who fought for the liberation of the state during his tenure. According to him, Ortom is also the proponent of the “Strategic Partnership” concept , a phrase he said symbolizes collaboration capable of accelerating development in Benue State and addressing the prevailing insecurity affecting the region.
Dr. Akutah highlighted several strategic projects reportedly sited in Benue State by the Tinubu-led administration, noting that such initiatives deserve the massive support of every Benue citizen. He explained that his attendance at the meeting was a personal effort to appeal to respected PDP members to adopt President Tinubu as their candidate in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on his own 2027 governorship ambition, Dr. Akutah stated that the agitation for the Kwande Intermediate Area to produce the next governor of Benue State is gaining momentum. As a son of Kwande, he said he has made himself available to serve the people.
The ES/CEO added that as an aspirant on the APC platform, the onus is on him to rally support across political parties in the state for President Tinubu, whom he said has exceeded expectations in development, security, welfare, and international relations.
He further stated that he possesses the requisite experience and credentials to advance development in the state, ensure the protection of lives and property, and promote prosperity while safeguarding the rights and freedoms of citizens.

DR. AKUTAH ATTENDS YION UNITY CUP FINALS, HARPS ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND CREATIVITY
Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima on Saturday attended the grand finale of the Mbayion Unity Cup, where he emphasized the importance of supporting young people to develop their skills, innovation, and creativity in order to discover and export local talents.
Dr. Akutah, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, who is also vying for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Benue State ahead of the 2027 elections, said there is an urgent need for the state to deliberately invest in youth development.
According to him, supporting young people to grow in their various areas of comparative advantage will significantly reduce the number of idle youths on the streets while promoting productivity and economic growth.
He commended the organizers of the Unity Cup and applauded the large crowd that turned out to support the two competing teams. Dr. Akutah further explained that he has developed a comprehensive youth development programme captured in his blueprint for the state.
He assured that if elected governor, his administration would reposition the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to effectively empower young people and enable them to maximize their potential.

POLITICAL DECEPTION
Deception in politics begins the moment you know you cannot deliver on something, yet you continue to deceive yourself, your principal, and the people who look up to you for answers and leadership.
Lately, this pattern has become common within the Benue social media space. I see individuals making bold, categorical statements about matters clearly beyond their authority or influence.
Let’s put this in simple terms.
The issue of Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima becoming Governor of Benue State in 2027 is not a tea party where everyone is invited to eat rice and beans. Politics at that level is strategic, structured, and governed by processes,not by anonymous social media accounts or emotional outbursts.
So when I see individuals hiding behind multiple pseudo accounts to insult and demean Dr. Akutah, I can only ask: To what extent? Do they truly have the constitutional or party powers to determine who secures a party ticket?
Constructive criticism is healthy in a democracy. Mudslinging, propaganda, and character attacks are not. Often, the loudest voices belong to overzealous supporters or new entrants into politics who are still learning the terrain. Many of us have once walked that path. Growth comes with maturity and understanding.
Self-deception helps no one.
Dr. Akutah remains focused and unwavering in his mission to contribute meaningfully toward the progress and development of Benue State. Distractions, especially from faceless critics, cannot alter vision, purpose, or preparation.
History consistently shows that leadership journeys are shaped by strategy, structure, and timing, not noise.
