REJOINDER: "VICTOR BALA"S POLITICAL BLUNDER".

Our attention is drawn to a malicious,baseless and directionless piece posted on social media by a faceless group tag "North East Elements" in which attempt was made to tarnish the excellent reputation and character of Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona. We wish to respond to the substative issues raised therein and state as follows:

Ordinarily we wouldn't have responded to such baseless allegations because they lack facts and are deficient in focus. But for the sake of clarity and consumption of the public,we want to draw the attention of the writers of the post in question and their paid masters to some issues they raised to enable them come out of the darkness,they are wrangling in for some time.

It's a matter of fact that when Hon Chief Victor Bala Kona was endorsed by the then Late Gov Danbaba D. Sutai, majority of the party faithfuls supported his candidature and delegates casted their votes in conformity to the Governor's choice of the right person for the job.We however, disagree with the assertion that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona has from then on enjoyed exclusive power and monopoly on the party affairs,other than those enshrined in the party's constitution.

The writers of the malicious pages alleged that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is an inexperienced politician but without prejudice, and to put our records straight,we want the writers to know that Chief Victor Bala Kona has been in the politics for over thirty three (33) years and apparently one of the oldest politician in Taraba State. He had headed his party as State PDP Chairman for eight (8) good years and always win 95 of the elective positions in the State in all the elections conducted during his tenure in office. As a leader of repute,Chief Victor Bala Kona was able to manage all the crisis in the party during his tenure and effectively handed over the party leadership in good shape to his successor. So if we are to be objective,it is right to classify such an incisive politician as an inexperience person? Let's just be truth to ourselves.

Again, the character assassins alleged that, the Taraba one of the oldest politician is "a man with an ethnic and religious agenda". This is truly laughable and has simply expose the writers and their paid masters as naive or lack knowledge of the character they want to assassinate. It's a common knowledge to who are based in Taraba State that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is a non-tribalistic and non-religious person in all his dealings. He is a kind of leader whose disposition and actions in dealing with people is devoid of sentiment and tribalism. To put record straight out of his approved aids only one person is from his tribe. No wonder,any time he does something for his Christian brothers,he equally do for the Muslims.Both faiths will attest to his kind gestures that during festive period most especially the people of his community in Ardo-Kola LG Area.Also as we are writing now,most of his asserts across the State are manage and control by both the Muslim faithfuls and the Christians irrespective of tribal and ethnicity sentiment. It is therefore, unfair and demonstration of ignorance for one to said that the astute politician is tribalistic except if their definition of tribalism is different from ours.Beside these, the CEO Vicbalkon Group also played a major role in the emergence of the late Chairman of Ardo-Kola LG, Hon. Salihu Dovo of blessed memory who is a Mumuye by tribe in his LGA. With all this proves,it will be insensitive for someone to wake up and conclude that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is tribalistic and sentimental.

Talking about party politics,Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona cherished the ideal of a democratic and just society in which all members live together in harmony and with equal opportunities,as provided in 2009 party constitution in Article 17 paragraph (b) and (f).The party PDP also gave room for a "Consensus candidate" during her politicking activities,but are expected to adhere strictly to the provisions of the party constitution that is by following the lay down procedures in making sure nothing is left undone during the process. So to said Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona during his time in office has handpicked any one as a result of personal interest is just a mere falacy and baseless.

The astute politician with more than three decades of experience in Politics can not be addressed as unwise Politician in Political decisions making. It's of interest for the writers to know that as a result of his magnitude experience in Politics,it is encouraging to know that throughout his tenure all the pressing issues were resolved and even solution seeking moments of today party faithfuls still find courage to come to him for consultations.

Garkuwan Bakundi is a very comfortable person in all his endeavors. He didn't expressed his willingness to contest for any position for now,but instead praying and supporting our amiable and illustrious Leader Gov Darius Dickson Ishaku and his successor Lt Col Agbu Kefas (Rtd) to Succeed in actualizing the rescue agendas. So whether he will contest or not time shall tell, because he believes that his future is in the hands of Almighty God who knows tomorrow and also put one down and set up another (Psalm 75:6-7).

Also the character assassins alleged that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is boasting flaunting of his wealth and properties. This is out of envy from him and his paid masters. To anyone who know the biography of Garkuwan Bakundi, will believe me that he started his business in the early 80's despite the fact that he has never held any public office that public funds are entrusted in his custody, all his achievements are through business and investments, therefore for him to declare or reveal to public his assets it's wrong? It is only some one whose hands are not clean that he will be hiding away his investments or assets to public notice.

The frivolous allegation in the comic pages states that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona gave one sided political appointments. But make haste to educate the writers that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is not holding any political position, so how justifiable is it that the PDP structure across the State are his tribe's men actually his tribes men are only resident in Jalingo and Ardo-Kola LG Area of Taraba State. It is very obvious but only among the elites that no one operates as a sole owner of a big party like the PDP. It's not obtainable especially that decisions of a party start from the Federal level down to the ward level. Looking at the structure of his party the PDP at the Federal down ward,no sensible person will agree that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona can monopolize the affairs of the party as alleged. Moreover,he is not directly responsible for Executive functions of given political appointments to the people but even when he was the party Chairman,he only recommends party loyalists to the Executive arm of government afre elections for onward consideration for appointments which is not always at the discretion of the party Chairman to mandate such appointments.

We also want to notify character assassins that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is never a party politician. He took over the party as it Chairman at a critical moment when the party was facing serious crisis and by the especially grace of Almighty God and guidance he was able to use his political experience within a short time to harmonize all the conflicting interests and bring all the aggrieved members together. No wonder, the party was victorious in all contests at his time.

We termed attack on Victor Bala Kona as a party politician by the character assassins to misconception and ignorance of facts because, the political firebrand,over the years,has been known for his Democratic and people oriented leadership. Where ever he is involved in a decision making especially outside his domain in the State,Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona would always want the people to reach a consensus on their choice for everything. This has been his kind of politics all this while. So for someone to wake up today and accused him of being a party politician is a misconception and unfortunate.

The baseless writers also asserted that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona's political antecedents has placed him at logger head with all the major ethnic groups in the State. But this is a absolutely laughable. We want to state here categorically and explicitly that Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona is not at logger head with any ethnic group in Taraba State. That is why during his administration as the PDP party Chairman, he worked hand in hand with all the ethnic groups in the State and recommended everybody for political devidend.

Finally, we want to at this juncture,draw the attention of the public that this malicious write-up is deficient in focus and particularly with baseless allegations out of envy and sentiment. We also wish urge the writers and their paid masters to get some of Chief Hon Victor Bala Kona's publications on his achievements as PDP State Chairman, and his business profile. Nevertheless, we classify the writers and their pay masters as inexperience and mere propagandist who are looking for a cheap recognition and Political relevance in the State, even though the Garkuwan Bakundi have at the back of his mind that as a great man, one may meet a great citicism, but the criticism must be constructive.

From all indications if given the opportunity to serve as the Governor of Taraba State, the political tub-thumber will use the wealth of his experience to consolidate o cann bus rescue agendas of his Excellency
Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku the Executive Governor of Taraba State.
