Yesterday, I was recognized as the Minister of State of the Year at the 6th Edition of the Accolade Yellow Ball and Awards held at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

I described the honour as a reflection of the collective commitment and hard work of the entire Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) under the leadership of the Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

The recognition would further inspire me to continue contributing meaningfully to the development and transformation of the Federal Capital Territory in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

I dedicated the award to the resilient people of the FCT, particularly women, youths, and community leaders whose support and partnership continue to strengthen the administration’s resolve to deliver impactful governance.

Earlier today, I was a Special Guest of Honour at the inaugural flight and official flag-off ceremony of the 2026 Hajj operations held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on May 3, 2026.

I called on Nigerian pilgrims embarking on the 2026 Hajj to uphold discipline, patience, and exemplary conduct as worthy ambassadors of the nation.

I described the occasion as both a logistical milestone and a deeply spiritual moment, noting that the commencement of the Hajj exercise marks the beginning of a sacred journey for thousands of Nigerians who have answered the divine call to perform one of the fundamental pillars of Islam.

I emphasized that Hajj symbolizes faith, sacrifice, unity, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah as I urged the pilgrims to conduct themselves in accordance with the laws and customs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that their behaviour would reflect the image of Nigeria on the global stage.
