We are not interested in speculation or trial-by-media. What Nigerians deserve are clear facts, institutional accountability, and reassurance that no arm of the state can ever be used in a manner that endangers human life.

Silence only deepens public anxiety and erodes trust. Democracy survives on truth, not secrecy.

ADP therefore calls for prompt clarification by the relevant authorities and, where necessary, lawful oversight to protect the sanctity of life and the integrity of our republic. ゚

Zargin Shigo da Thallium: Najeriya Ba Za Ta Lamunci Shiru Ba Idan Lafiyar Jama’a Na Cikin Hadari

Jam’iyyar Action Democratic Party (ADP) na kallon da matuƙar damuwa ga zargin mai tsanani da ke yawo a bainar jama’a dangane da zargin shigo da sinadarin thallium—wani sinadari mai matuƙar guba—cikin Najeriya, da kuma barazanar tsaron ƙasa da ake danganta da wannan batu.

Wannan ba gardamar siyasa ta yau da kullum ba ce.
Duk wani zargi da ya shafi yiwuwar shigowa ko motsa sinadarai masu kashe rai a cikin iyakokin Tarayyar Najeriya na ɗaga lamarin kai tsaye zuwa matakin lafiyar jama’a, alhakin kundin tsarin mulki, da kuma lamirin ƙasa.

Ko da yake ADP ba za ta shiga yin hukunci cikin gaggawa ko yanke hukunci ta kafafen yaɗa labarai ba, shiru daga hukumomin da abin ya shafa ba abin karɓa ba ne kuma ba mai ɗorewa ba ne a dimokuraɗiyyar da doka ke mulki.

Saboda haka, Jam’iyyar Action Democratic Party na buƙatar:
1. Bayani cikin gaggawa da gaskiya daga Ofishin Mai Ba Shugaban Ƙasa Shawara kan Tsaro (NSA) kan ko an taɓa ba da izini, sayo, shigo da, ajiye, ko amfani da wani sinadarin thallium daga kowace hukuma ta gwamnati, a kowace irin manufa.
2. Cikakken bayyanawa daga dukkan hukumomin kula da tsari da lafiyar jama’a da ke da alhakin sarrafa sinadarai masu haɗari a cikin iyakokin Najeriya.
3. Binciken gaggawa na majalisar dokoki ta kwamitocin da s**a dace na Majalisar Tarayya domin gano gaskiya da kuma kwantar da hankalin ’yan Najeriya.

A faɗa a sarari ba tare da ruɗani ba:
• Babu wata gwamnati—ta farar hula ko ta wani tsari—da ke da ikon ɗabi’a ko na kundin tsarin mulki na jefa rayuwar ’yan ƙasa cikin haɗari ba bisa ka’ida ba.
• Tsaron ƙasa ba zai taɓa zama garkuwa ta ɓoye gaskiya ba idan rayuwar ɗan Adam na cikin magana.
• Dimokuraɗiyya na rushewa a daidai lokacin da tsoro ya maye gurbin ɗaukar alhaki.

Don haka ADP na yin gargaɗi kan:
• Shiru daga hukumomi,
• Tsoratarwar siyasa, ko
• Duk wani yunƙuri na raina muhimmancin batu da ya shafi tsarkin rayuwar ɗan Adam kai tsaye.

Dorewar Najeriya ta dogara ne da amincewar jama’a ga hukumomin ƙasa.
Wannan amincewa kuwa na iya dorewa ne kawai ta hanyar gaskiya, bayyana gaskiya a fili, da kuma cikakken bincike bisa doka.

Kuma ɗaukar alhaki a dimokuraɗiyya ba zaɓi ba ne—wajibi ne.

THE DIGNITY OF WOMEN IS NON-NEGOTIABLE: ADP INVOKES THE CONSTITUTION, DEMANDS URGENT ACTION FROM THE TINUBU ADMINISTRATION

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) expresses grave concern and moral outrage over the continued failure of the Federal Government to respond decisively to the recent disturbing video showing women humiliated, brutalized, and degraded by criminal bandits.

While the victims in this particular incident are Muslim women, the implications extend far beyond any single faith. This is not merely an attack on Islam. It is a direct assault on the dignity, safety, and humanity of Nigerian women—across all faiths, regions, and identities.

More than 48 hours after this national disgrace entered the public domain, Nigerians are yet to see the level of urgency demanded of a government constitutionally entrusted with the protection of life, dignity, and security.

Let it be stated without equivocation: the protection of women is not discretionary—it is a constitutional obligation.

Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria provides that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.

Section 33 guarantees the right to life.

Section 34 guarantees the right to dignity of the human person and expressly prohibits torture, inhuman, and degrading treatment.

The public humiliation and abuse of women by criminal elements—and any state failure to respond decisively—constitute a grave violation of these constitutional guarantees.

Silence or hesitation in the face of such crimes is not neutrality.
It is abdication of constitutional responsibility.

The Action Democratic Party therefore formally calls on the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act immediately and transparently by:
Issuing an unequivocal public condemnation of this atrocity at the highest level of government;

Ordering immediate, coordinated security operations to rescue victims, dismantle criminal networks, and prevent recurrence;
Holding security leadership accountable for operational failures that enabled this violation of citizens’ rights;

Reaffirming—through concrete action—that the dignity and safety of Nigerian women, regardless of faith, are inviolable and non-negotiable.

Nigeria cannot be governed as a constitutional democracy where women are degraded in captivity while the state delays, rationalizes, or remains silent.

This moment will test the seriousness of the Tinubu administration’s commitment to constitutional governance. History will not judge leadership by rhetoric, but by response—especially when the rights of the vulnerable are trampled.

If the humiliation of women does not provoke urgent state action, then the crisis confronting Nigeria is no longer only about insecurity. It is about the erosion of constitutional order, moral authority, and the very purpose of government.

The Action Democratic Party will continue to insist on accountability, constitutional fidelity, and the protection of every Nigerian woman’s dignity until these guarantees are enforced in practice—not merely proclaimed in law.

Today, we thank God for the 38 worshippers freed in Kwara and the 50 schoolchildren who escaped captivity in Niger State. Their return brings tears of relief to families who have lived through days of fear, prayers, and sleepless nights.

But behind every rescue, there is a deeper pain we cannot ignore.

Our children are being taken.
Our churches are under attack.
Our communities are traumatized.
And the heart of our nation is bleeding.

These tragedies are happening too often, too suddenly, and too dangerously to be mere coincidences. There is a pattern. There are hidden hands. And there are forces—inside and outside Nigeria—playing a dark game with our future.

Who is doing this to our country?
Who wants Nigerians to live in fear?
Who is trying to weaken our democracy from within and from abroad?

We must not look away.
We must not stay silent.

Nigeria must stand together—north, south, Christian, Muslim, young, old—to protect our children, our faith, our freedom, and our future.

May God heal the families, strengthen our security agencies, and open the eyes of our leaders to confront the truth boldly.
