This week, as we celebrated , we were reminded of the power of learning to transform lives.

Today, I am proud to announce the launch of the UK-funded SCALE programme in Katsina State.

Working with Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria, Katsina State and partners - Education Development Trust, Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Africa, and Innovations for Poverty Action, we’ll support children in getting the reading literacy and numeracy skills they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

Scholars were honoured at pre-departure receptions in Abuja and Lagos as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their academic and leadership journeys in the UK.
