In a few months, Nigerians will go to the polls for the 2027 general election to choose their leaders.
For years, voter turnout has kept dropping. Many people stay away from elections due to apathy and fear of unfair processes.
As an organization committed to changing this story, we will take our advocacy beyond social media through the JAKADAN ODPM program.
We will continue to push for free and fair elections. We will also encourage active participation in every stage of the electoral process for better governance and stronger democracy.

Nigeria has again suffered a heavy blow. Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah and 17 soldiers lost their lives in coordinated attacks carried out by suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province.
The attacks struck military formations in Benisheikh, as well as Ngamdu and Pulka. These areas remain critical to security operations in the North East, making the incident a serious setback in ongoing counterinsurgency efforts.
JAKADAN ODPM stands with the families of the fallen. Their sacrifice must lead to action. Security is not only a military duty. It depends on community awareness, shared responsibility, and consistent engagement.

In what seems like a resurgence of major ISWAP attacks in the North East, Nigerian soldiers remain prime targets of the terrorists. The aim appears clear. Cripple ongoing operations and seize arms for further attacks.
Within less than a month, dozens of soldiers lost their lives, including senior officers. This situation demands stronger effort in the fight against terrorism. We call on the Federal Government to take decisive steps to secure the lives of Nigerians.
ODPMNigeria mourns the fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation. We extend our sympathy to their families and the Nigerian Armed Forces. Their sacrifice will remain honored, and their courage will not be forgotten.
