The Bauchi State Ministry of Education has issued posting letters to 569 newly recruited teachers, directing them to report to their various assigned schools across the state with immediate effect.
Distributing the letters on Tuesday in Bauchi, the Ministry urged the new teachers to be good ambassadors of the teaching profession and to be punctual and dedicated to their duties.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim, congratulated the newly engaged teachers and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
"Your work starts now. We will monitor you to see your progress. Please, don’t let us down," the Commissioner said.
He noted that the recruitment is part of Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed's commitment to making education a top priority of his administration.
"The Government of Senator Bala Mohammed has made education a priority, that is why we engaged you and more are coming. The government believes in your capacity," he added.
Alhaji Ibrahim further assured that the present administration will continue to invest in the education sector through recruitment of qualified teachers, provision of infrastructure and improved welfare.
Some of the newly recruited teachers who spoke to newsmen expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed and the Ministry of Education for the opportunity, pledging to be dedicated and to contribute to raising the standard of education in the state.
