Please note that the Embassy of the Republic of Korea will be closed for Eid al-Kabir on Wednesday and Thursday, May 27-28th, 2026.
The Embassy will resume services on Friday, May 29th, 2026.

남궁탁 참사관은 5.19.(화) 비앙카 오두메구-오주쿠(Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu) 외교장관을 예방하여 한-나이지리아 양자 관계 전반에 대해 논의했습니다. 또한, 6월 서울에서 개최될 한-아프리카 외교장관회의 준비 사항에 대해서도 의견을 나누었습니다.

Mr. Namgung paid a courtesy call to H.E. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss ways to further strengthen Korea–Nigeria bilateral relations. They also discussed preparations for the upcoming Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

남궁탁 참사관은 Wahab Akande 외교부 의전장과 면담을 갖고 한-나 간 다양한 외교 현안에 대해 의견을 교환했으며, 스위스 주재 대사로 곧 부임 예정인 의전장의 성공적인 임무 수행을 기원했습니다.

Mr. Namgung met with Wahab Akande, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss pending issues between the two countries, and extended best wishes for his successful tenure as Ambassador to Switzerland.

남궁탁 참사관은 4.28.(화) 주요 아태국가 대사 등을 관저로 초청하여 Mohammed Haidara 외교부 아태국장 이임 만찬을 하였습니다.

Mr. Namgung hosted a farewell dinner at the Residence for Amb. Mohammed Haidara, Director of the Asia-Pacific Division at the MFA, inviting Ambs/HCs and Reps from key A-P countries.

우리 대사관과 한국문화원은 4.25.(토) 태국 대사관이 개최한 제2회 ASEAN+3 바자회에 참여하였습니다. 동 바자회에는 ASEAN 회원국(태국, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 필리핀, 베트남) 대사관들과 대한민국, 중국, 일본 대사관이 참여하였으며, 우리 대사관과 문화원은 쌀과자, 아몬드 과자, 전통 약과와 한국 문화 책자, 문화원 홍보 책자 등을 전시하여 파트너 국가 간의 우호 관계를 강화하는 데 이바지하였습니다.

On Apr 25, the Embassy and the Korean Cultural Center participated in the ASEAN+3 Mini Bazaar at the invitation of the Royal Thai Embassy. We showcased Korean snacks and Korean cultural publications, contributing to the strengthening of friendly relations between countries.

남궁탁 참사관은 4.24.(금) 기업지원회의를 개최하여 현지 진출 우리 기업과 노동인권 관련 논의 및 현지 상황을 공유하고 애로사항 등을 청취하였습니다.

On Apr 24, Mr. Namgung hosted a Business Support Meeting with Korean companies in Nigeria. The meeting covered local business updates and challenges faced by Korean companies.

남궁탁 참사관은 4.24.(금) 단고테 본사를 방문하여 Fatima Dangote 단고테 그룹 전무이사와 면담을 갖고, 공급망 등 양국 간 민간 협력 강화를 논의했습니다.

On Apr 24, Mr. Namgung visited the Dangote HQ and had a meeting with Ms. Fatima Dangote, Executive Director of the Dangote Group. They discussed ways to strengthen private-sector cooperation, including supply chains.

우리 대사관은 4.24.(금) 나이지리아 국제관계연구소(NIIA)와 공동으로 국제개발협력 둔화 기조 속 한국의 대아프리카 협력 방안을 주제로 세미나를 개최했습니다. 남궁탁 참사관은 우리 개발협력 현황을 소개하고, 한-나 양국 간 상호 이해를 바탕으로 한 파트너십 확대의 중요성을 강조했습니다. 세미나 직후에는 리디머스(Redeemer's) 대학교 학생들과 간담회를 갖고 대사관 업무를 소개했습니다.

On Apr 24, the Embassy held a joint seminar with NIIA on Korea's cooperation strategies with Africa amid the slowdown in international development cooperation. After the seminar, Mr. Namgung introduced Embassy work to Redeemer's Univ. students at the NIIA.

남궁탁 참사관은 4.23.(목) SBM Intelligence 싱크탱크 전문가들과 면담을 갖고 주재국 내 대테러, 안보 관련 현안 점검 및 주재국 정세에 관해 논의했습니다.

On Apr 23, Mr. Namgung had a meeting with experts from SBM Intelligence to discuss the overall political and security situation in Nigeria.
