PTDF, GALAXY BACKBONE EXPLORE AREAS FOR DEEPER COLLABORATION
The Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju, led the organisation’s management team on a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund PTDF, Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, at the Fund’s headquarters in Abuja.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between PTDF and Galaxy Backbone and exploring additional areas of collaboration.
During the visit, Prof. Adeyanju briefed the Executive Secretary on Galaxy Backbone’s operations and strategic activities. He also highlighted PTDF’s role as a majority shareholder and member of the organisation’s Board, expressing interest in having Galaxy Backbone staff participate in relevant training programmes organised by the Fund.
In his response, Prof. Aliyu thanked the delegation for the visit and commended Galaxy Backbone for its continued support to PTDF. He noted, however, that the Fund required increased support from the organisation, particularly in strengthening digital infrastructure at its Centres of Excellence, including the General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua University of Geological Sciences and Engineering Technology UGSET and the Centre for Skills Development and Training CSDT in Port Harcourt.
According to him, enhanced digital infrastructure at these institutions would contribute significantly to improving their operations and supporting effective and efficient service delivery in education, training and research.
