The governorship hopeful and the unity forum consensus candidate, Chief Olusola Alexander Oke, SAN was ealier today presented a cheque for the collection of Nomination/expression of interest by His Excellency Alhaji Alli Olanusi,Chairman Unity forum,Ondo State ahead of Ondo 2020 election to unseat the the incumbent governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Now is the time to take the lead.

We are group of individuals who believe that true transformation of Ondo State is bigger than any one of us, we believe in working together as a team by embracing the obligation and opportunities that comes with us a citizen of Ondo state in pushing our sunshine state to its full potential.

OLUSOLA OKE IN THE EYES OF HISTORY
Between 1991 and till date, Olusola Oke has toured the entire 203 wards in the eighteen local government area of Ondo State seven times and by virtue of this, he has firsthand information on how badly things have degenerated, what should be done with short and the long term plan likewise the priority that should be given to the degenerated situations
Just like the way a tyrant in any democracy would dominate his subjects, the picture of agony of joblessness, poor infrastructure and state of hopelessness that hover around the state dominated the thought of Oke (SAN) as the state has not witness any significant change for over a decade rather, the state has further degenerated and in restoring the state back to the winning ways, Olusola Oke (SAN) will dedicate himself to the service of the state, ensure that the Olokola and the deep sea projects are brought back to attract viable investors.
He will establish medium scale industries in the three senatorial district of the state, decentralize our health service system by upgrading the available health centers across the state so as to make quality health services available in all 203 wards.
Funding and review of our educational system in line with international standard practice for optimum performance so as to enable the existing institutions in the sector to deliver on their mandate areas.
Completion of the reticulation project of Owena Dam to make water available to homes and our people, Youth development and women empowerment, leveraging on different windows of entrepreneurial opportunities, training and private initiative will be pursued vigorously.
Above all, creation of wealth, provision of security and promotion peoples’ confidence as imperative for sustainable development.
Ondo state deserve the best and the best is what Oke (SAN) promise to give.

The State shall, within the context of the ideals and objectives for which provisions are made in this constitution

(a)Harness the resources of the nation and promote national(state) prosperity and efficient, a dynamic and self-reliant economy:

(b)Control the national (state) economy in such manner as to secure as to secure the maximum welfare, freedom, and happiness of every citizen on the basis of social justice and equality of status and opportunity

(a)The state shall direct towards ensuring;
The promotion of a planned and balanced economic development

(b)That the material resources of the nation(state) are harnessed and distributed as best as possible to serve the common good;

(c)That the economic system is not operated in such a manner as to permit the concentration of wealth or the means of production and exchange in the hands of few individuals or a group; and

That suitable and adequate shelter, suitable and adequate food……………, old care and pensions, and unemployment, sick benefits and welfare of the disable are provided…..

Recently, the contest for the Commission of Ondo state governorship has witnessed unprecedented deployment of vulgar abuse, name-calling and irresponsible act of fiction writing to assassinate character of a perceived opponent.

These elements with a small heart in the gubernatorial ambition of their sponsor, have written series of baseless moonlight stories about Chief Olusola Oke, SAN believing that their unbelievable lies will bring him down and elevate them in the politics of Ondo state.

We have followed this new and clownish trend and going through the cheered history of Ondo state politics, we can safely say this virus of vulgar abuse and indecent conducts unbecoming of gubernatorial candour in the politics of our state, is a creation of those who thought it takes just arm-chair propaganda to express governorship ambition.

We have decided to let many of their lies slide because of the mood of the nation and also our approach which is based on our experience and the demands of the seat of governorship. We are compelled to do this little intervention so as to put the writers of these fictions and vulgar narratives on notice that we know them and that at appropriate time, we shall bring their identity up for the public to examine.

We have examined their style and strategy and from our findings, the deployment of vulgar abuse is a shameful act imported into our politics by some new entrants who desire quick popularity thinking we would join them in their stride so that they can derive undue popularity. We have come a long way to descend to the abys of dialoguing on lies and propaganda.

Series of governorship contest we have had in this state and in all of these contests, we have not seen this level of crass immaturity, glorified ignorance and orchestrated perfidy in optimum display. Let us remind them that no mischief or uncoordinated story can change the image and personality of Chief Olusola Oke, SAN before Ondo state public. He is known here in the state and nothing about him is obscure to the people of the state.

Political popularity is not a sprint, it is a long relay that anybody who desires it must complete its course and bear the necessary sacrifice it demands. Therefore, those who felt they can rise to political stardom through the back of the veterans in the vocation of politics in Ondo state are advised to drop the idea. Those who desire a measure of political relevance must work for and earn it. It is only in the dictionary the word success comes before work.

And for their abettors, we advise they stir not the settled water of politics anymore. The sky is wide enough for us all.

We in Ondo Solidarity Movement believe in politics of issues and decorous behavior in public discuss. For Olusola Oke, SAN, humility is his strength and issue based discuss his logo. We are poised therefore to join issues with any individual who wants a robust discuss on leadership, governance and challenges facing our economy and the one that may likely visit the economy of the nation and by extension the 36 states in the federation, for possible solutions and reengineering. More importantly, we believe the contest for the Commission of governorship is better seen as a collective voyage that requires the bits of everybody. Therefore, we must do less of acrimony and more of effort that can promote collegiate drive.

We hold in high esteem anybody who in the conviction of his or her estimation and belief, has expressed interest in the governorship of Ondo state. For those that have made known their interests in the governorship of Ondo state, this measure of respect we will continue to offer all of them. Let them mistake not our silence for presence of fear and timidity.

The crown is in His hands and only God knows who wears it next. Certainly, not a purveyor of lies.

In this election, we have no enemy. We are just people with different opinions about the way forwards, with a common understanding that we cant afford to maintain the status quo.

I wish to appreciate all my supporters and the best campaign team I have ever worked with in my political career...I thank you all. The passion with which you are spreading this gospel of our emancipation beats my imagination.
But more importantly, I respect the views of the supporters of other contestants. I salute their courage for standing with who they believe in. probably they are viewing things from a different side of the prism. But from where we stand, we have a clearer view.

I wish to state in clear terms that this election is not about the candidate you are working for... It is more about what He represents and the future we are hoping for as a people of common destiny.

So I beseech you to desist from thinking about "YOU" and "TODAY"..... Rather, think about " US" and "TOMORROW"
