I paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Livestock, in Abuja, accompanied by Directors of key departments from the Niger State Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, including:
- Director of Range and Pasture Development
- Director of Veterinary Services
- Director of Animal Production
- Director of Finance

I was honored to lead this delegation as the Niger State Commissioner for Livestock and Fisheries, Ibrahim Mami Ijah.

AGRICULTURAL BOOST: HON. MAMI DISTRIBUTES HERBICIDES TO 350 FARMERS IN TAFA.

The Niger State Commissioner of Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Ibrahim Mami Ijah, has distributed herbicides to farmers across the 10 wards of Tafa Local Government Area. The 350 beneficiaries include youth and women farmers in Dogon Kurmi, Garam, Ijah Gbagyi, Ijah Koro, Iku, New Bwari, Wuse East, Wuse West, Zuma East, and Zuma West.

This initiative aims to support farmers and align with the agricultural agenda of HE Governor Umar Bago, also known as the "Farmer Governor." The distribution of herbicides will help farmers boost their productivity, ensuring food security and availability in the state.

By providing essential resources to farmers, Hon. Mami is contributing to the growth of the agricultural sector in Niger State. This effort demonstrates the government's commitment to empowering farmers and promoting food sufficiency in the state.

We are driving transformation in Niger State's livestock and fisheries sector. I visited the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research and Kainji Aquaculture Resource in New-Bussa, Borgu LGA. I am impressed by the innovative approaches and passionate teams working to boost aquaculture and fisheries production.
As Commissioner, I and my team are committed to supporting our Farmer Governor's vision to take Niger State to the next level.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Deputy Governor, and the entire people of Niger State on the passing of Hajiya Zainab Garba. Her loss is indeed a great sorrow for the state. May Allah grant her Aljanna Firdausi and provide comfort to her family during this difficult time.
