THE WOMEN'S WAR OF 1929

Yours truly at Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, while shooting a pilot documentary sponsored by the United Nations Development Program.

The man is a family member of Madam Adiaha, a powerful woman leader shot during the protest (and grandmother of Sen. Udo Udoma). The woman in the center was our interpreter.

The purpose of the project was to meet the living descendants of the women involved in the movement, retrace their steps where they marched and highlight the legacy of the Women's War.

To this end, all transport & accommodation costs, payment of tour guides, camera-men and support staff to enable this work are borne by personal contributions. But now, we need YOUR support. By donating N1000 here http://saveourtreasures.com/main/donate/ or through Zenith Bank, 1014159856, we could purchase a vehicle, maintain our office space, and take care of other logistical affairs. Thank you for your support!!
