An NGO, Global Centre for Peace and Education (CAC/IT/REG/./38806) said to have gone through the activities of the newly appointed Managing Director of Federal Housing Authority, Senator Asafa, within about a month and few days that he reported in office.
The NGO said that Senator Akada's sincere concern and his speedy moves/visits round the Six Geo-Political Zones in Nigeria and the sound and solid contacts made with the Federal Government, some State Governors and other Stakeholders in the Housing Industry, to Curb with the Housing Deficit in Nigeria is a welcome one.
Global Centre for Peace and Education call on His Excellency, President Muhammad Buhari/APC, the Hon Minister of Works and Housing, His Excellency, B Fashola, all the Federal Housing Authority Staff and other Stakeholders in the Housing Industry to join hands with Senator Asafa, MD FHA, to enable him execute his rich plan/agenda for Mass housing delivering for Nigerians as Housing for All is one of the Agenda/Manifestoe of President Muhammad Buhari/APC.
The President of the NGO, Comrade Oguche Matejuojo J Otiti added that Provision of Housing Creates Job Opportunities and Encourages Peace and Unity among Nigerians - therefore, the need for Mass Housing cannot be over emphasized.
He further prayed God-Allah to give FHA Management Wisdom to pilot the Affairs of FHA as it is expected in the interest of Nigerians.

A Charge for Trade Union Movement:
Dear Nigeria Workers/Comrades,
Let note in the spirit of Comradeship that the unfortunate failing or falling of Unionism or Trade Union Movement in Nigeria - SSASGOC Union FHA Branch and that of several Branches failing, falling/going down indicates that Unionism is openess, very democratic and not for one man or group to manage secretly only.
It further indicates that fragile religion sentiment/statements, Personal interest, greed, nepotism, Namu Namu, selfish interest kills organization especially, the Trade Union settings'.
All selfless serving Comrades must note the above and stay away from such Comrades causing division in Unionism so as not to let them leads.
Yes, we need effective Trade Union Movement in our Organization/Nigeria.

So bad, unnion and very unfortunate that even the imposed caretaker committee of fha ssasgoc have cried out to some members that they and some National Executive of ssasgoc are not in the know of Court case with ASCSN FHA Unit.
Why are our National Body doing all this to us?
Why should Union Activities be Secret?
I call on FHA SSASGOC Comrades/members and National Executive not to be stooges in the hands of few.

So unfortunate as the fragile religion statement made by one of us and group have stopped our activities - the 2019 workers day is the second that we can't celebrate as we ought to.
The person or group that brought us to where we are lobby the national Body to get attire for us and so unfortunate and very clear now that Management did not recognised the self imposed caretaker committee (The imposed caretaker committee refused or are afraid to sign a letter asking us to come and collect 2019 may day Attire and the one man or group asked our employer to sign?) which was given to us by the same person/national Body.
Only one man is now ruling our SSASGOC FHA and some of us who are very educated, most senior are so silent?
He is the bone of contention and should be ask to take part of honour and relinquish his position as a comade.
Going for my day parade is not our pressing concerns but to bring back our great SSASGOC's activities on board.
Let us speak out.

The Rise and Fall of Unionism in an Organisation - Causes and Consequences of a Failing/Failed Union:
'I don't know what is secret about Unionism as Unionism stand for openess and fairness to all parties'.
Above statement was made by Right Comrade Haroun A. Adeiza, 4mer Deputy President, SSASGOC Union FHA.
Senior Comrade Adeiza, you were so Frank and warning us on not being self independent on issues/decisions as some of us were found of having secret meeting with one Man/some people before formal meeting.
Yes Sir/Comrade, the secret meeting with one man/some people or not taking decisions without the one man/some people have made our Union to be in mess for one year and 3months now.
It is a lesson for those who used to have Secret meeting with one Person or some people before formal meeting.
You were doing us good but some of us failed to understand you then.
I pray God to bless you for your courage which is a lesson for everyone/Comrades.

Dear Comrades, by next week, it will be one year that the activities of our great SSASCGOC FHA was stopped due to fragile religion comments made (for selfish interest) by one man/group.
The date of court hearing on a case that we should have addressed in-house is not known to members and it is on record that as elites as we are, our own case was taken to court by the one man, group or the national body without our consent or mandate from us in a Congress
The man or group that brought us to where we are stands on his tools and keep telling people or meeting people that they should not mind members who are aggrieved or that joined ASCSN FHA unit.
The man keep on having meeting with few people in secret and still insulting and castigating ASCSN FHA unit members who are largely senior staff, very enlighten and very then strong members of SSASCGOC FHA.
The silent of our imposed caretaker committee on the death of our member is so unfortunate as ASCSN FHA unit is the one that take charge of the death announcement/arrangement for the burial.
The rejection of the 2019 Calendar by many members is a negative one unlike before now that things did not fall apart.
In all, God is with our welfare as AUPCTRE FHA is doing her best and we should for now, keep supporting AUPCTRE FHA for Unionism is just about our welfare.
What is your way forward?

Those using religion to divide us as we now have in SSASCGOC FHA are not even acquitted with religion ethics.
They only want to use religion to be leading people and getting economic interest at the national and branch's levels of SSASCGOC.
Comrades, stay away from such man or group who have eloquent words or charmish words to be convincing people.
We are educated and wise as senior staff/even mgt staff at our levels.
We can't be stooges in the hands of just one man or group.
May God bring back our SSASCGOC FHA but not under a man or group with religion sentiment again. Amen.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
1- Muslims are allowed and even recommended to make duaa for living non-Muslim relatives, neighbors, and friends.
2- Muslims can make duaa for their health, well-being and guidance.
Answering your question, Dr. Wael Shehab, PhD in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University and currently the Imam of the Downtown Toronto Masjid in Canada, states:
A Muslim is ordained to be just, fair, kind, and friendly with all people, irrespective of their faiths, cultures, and races.
Therefore, Muslims are certainly allowed and even recommended to make duaa for living non-Muslim relatives, neighbors, and friends. We, Muslims, can pray for their health, well-being and guidance.
The most important prayer that we can do for them is to pray for their guidance to the straight path. We must do so on a continuous basis.
Muslims are to maintain good social and friendly relations with all people. Caring for the poor, the needy, and helpless is recommended for all.
Islamic universal values such as justice, kindness, mercy, etc., are meant to please all people, Muslims and non-Muslims.
Almighty Allah knows best.

Dear Senior Comrades,
Welcome back from strike.
The Modern Unionism entails proactiveness and forecasting on the part of the leadership.
Our SSASCGOC FHA for now lack leadership due to sentiment set in by just one man and group for more than Six months now.
It is unfortunate and very sympathetic issue of concerns/questions to ask why the national Rep with his team of caretaker committee were no where to be find last week thursday/friday and also failed to act well on the just ended strike but only posted the strike letter on notice boards which many of us don't read?
MY WAY4WARD ON THE MINIMUM WAGE TO COME:
In the spirit of comradeship as we used to do, our leaders ought to have had a strong team work/synergy with AUPCTRE FHA on the Minimum Wage to enable us have a peaceful working environment after FG might have issued circular on the about to come minimum wage by 4/10/18.
I call on the leadership of our AUPCTRE FHA and the National Body to commence meeting with our able and caring Management on the implications of the proposed minimum wage so as for management to start working on same due to our 25% ahead of Ministries workers.
I so submit for effective Labour and Management Relations.

Pray against the fall of SSASCGOC FHA:
Dear Comrades,
Under the ethics of Industrial Relations/Labour Management, the moment a Man, Comrade or group brings in ego and sentiment of religion, region or tribalism to Unionism, that will be the fall of such Union in the said Organization.
The worst crisis to manage is intra crisis in Union and to get out of it, ego, pride, blackmailing, insulting elders who are former excos and very strong members of the said Union must stop by the man or group that brought in intra crisis.
It should be noted that many or some Comrades have taken Union to be their own or a source of income either at the national, or local levels and therefore, they want person or people that they will be controlling or dictating for on issues to be the Executive.
If Union leaders or comrades preaches against godfatherism, sentiment of all kinds, we must not see it in practice in Union.
Membership of Union is so voluntary now. Therefore, he, group or comrade (s) who due to sentiment or interest think he can make Comrades of this age to be mere followers, stooges, rubber stamps in order for him to remains relevant or gaining to the detriment of other Comrades should be ignored even if he or the group comes to you with eloquent talk or words of blackmailing after his or her sentimental statement in Question. Such person is not a real comrade but a mirror comrade who is gaining or selling members with deceit but claiming to be good when in Congress or public places.
God have revealed such a comrade or group as it pleases Him.
At National and Local levels of our Union Body, let us stand to say no to godfatherism, sentiment of region, religion/tribes and ego of I know it all.
Union is not a cult and one man or group should not hold Union activities for their own selfish or greed.
Let be wise on Social Movement.

A call for Prayer:
Senior Comrades, my training from Labour Institute said that 'Union don't write letter of Ultimatum without following due process and that every action of Union should be civil and sincere devoid of politics as it may ends in Court.
The activities of our SSASCGOC FHA was suspended due to issues at hands and our national body through our rep at the national body kept on disobeying management's directive by holding Congress and serving management Ultimatum for strike on promotion.
We need to be praying and be patient to hear from FMLP for us to have a formidable SSASCGOC FHA before talking of strike as a divided house can't go for War and a tree can't make Forest.
AUPCTRE FHA did not supported the last strike of ours and may not support us now mostly that our GS, the sacked Exco and the rep at the national body have said 'ASCSN and AUPCTRE have no Jurisdictional Scope in FHA but they are only managing them as brothers and sisters'.
National body should have asked SSASCGOC FHA to go on strike since 9/8/18 that the Ultimatum elapsed but no information about the proposed strike as we were told in the last Congress.
Why the silent?
Did they rushed to give Ultimatum without following due process or wider consultation as it ought to be?
Is it not peace and unity we need for now?
How do you think the selected caretaker committee will perform when management have formally suspected the activities of SSASCGOC FHA until the outcome of the letter form FMLP?
Don't you think management will see their action if any, as gross misconduct under Public Service Rule?
The issue here is that when one Man and a Group think is or they are the owner of an entity, the said entity will be in disarray.
What we need at this time is Humility, openness, and not arrogance, secrecy or mind of I know it all/godfatherism.
The secret meetings going on and very selective one by the same one man and group should be discourage or stop for every one to be carried along in the spirit of comradeship.
The PG who could not handles the first meeting that brought us to where we are should also visit the branch as many are complaining of his absence in our branch since then.
Let for now, keep supporting AUPCTRE FHA while we await FMLP/Management on the issue with ASCSN FHA Unit.
Let be working on option be in case the letter favour not.
May God bring back the glory of SSASCGOC FHA.

Sir, BringBackOurSsascgocFHAGlory'sGroup hereby formally call on you to desolve the Comrades parading themselves as Branch's Executive of SSASCGOC FHA Branch and set up a Caretaker Committee to be representing us in any meeting with our management pending when the Federal Ministry of Labour/FHA will addressed the issues in question.
It should be noted that the tenure of the said executive have Expired since April, 2018.
We also call on the CWC to direct the second Deputy President who is representing SSASCGOC FHA at the National Level to take part of honour as a Comrade and resign his National Position due to the unresolved issues that he is unable to Handled in-house.
Our position on the Second Vice President is the view, feelings/position of majority of members of our great Union, SSASCGOC FHA who have left SSASCGOC FHA to ASCSN FHA Unit and should be religiously attended to for Peace and Unity in our Branch please.
As it is since 3months, our executive have no moral justification to negotiate with our management. The management have also stoped SSASCGOC FHA activities. Our check off due has been placed on Suspense Account. We were stoped not to attend the MD/CEO' s address during 2018 May day.
Our welfare issues such as Promotion, etc are down.
About 127 members of SSASCGOC FHA have left to Association of Senior Civil Servant of Nigeria (FHA Unit) out of 225 membership strength.
There is high rate of sentiments or disunity among members of SSASCGOC FHA and it was due to religion and ethnicity sentiments brought in by one man or group during the preparation for our 2018 Delegates Conference which would have been held 12th April, 2018.
This group stand for rule of law, moral value, civility and justice and we know Unionism should be seen doing same.

Dear FHA SSASCGOC members/Comrades,
Unionism goes along with morality and integrity.
As comrades, we must hold on to constitution and not ideas from a group or one person lording over us/ issues.
Those or any one sitting under godfatherism and religion sentiments destroying our unity are or is the devil and enemies of Union and organizational growth.
The Crack or religion sentiments/godfatherism brought in to our SSASCGOC Union FHA Branch is so unfortunate and amazing.
The hopeful SSASCGOC FHA Branch's activities has been suspended or SSASCGOC has been made silent for two months now because of greed, selfish interest, unconstitutional acts, sentiments of religion and self esteems.
The unending intra crisis which came out of religion sentiments, the expiration of the tenure of the current executive since two months a go and the obsolete Bye Law called for questions of Integrity of the executive which its tenure have expired but still parading as executive.
It should be noted that about 119 members, out of 224 members of SSASCGOC have left to the new and now recognized Association of Senior Civil Servant of Nigeria, FHA Unit.
If the should have expired Branch Exco and the branch's Rep at the National Body are the problem or unable to manage or reconcile the intra crisis, why can't them resign or step aside for a care taker committee to effectively reconcile the issues at hand?
The failure of the National Body to addressed issues at the earlier stage but rather, said SSASCGOC is not pleading any body to join her, SSASCGOC leadership stopped at grade level 14, grade level 15 and above can only be financial members, etc did not help SSASCGOC as ASCSN have landed in FHA.
The position of SSASCGOC National Body then, was suspected to be Doctored by one Man or few as there was no meeting between Branch Exco and the National Body as usual, before we went for the most unfortunate August meeting that negatively brought us to where we are today.
The letter sent to our Branch after the formation of ASCSN in FHA where all contentious issues got stepped down in favour of the then Unity Group was a Damage Control Medication which have failed or failing to heal the wounded Lions or most Elites members of SSASCGOC FHA who are mostly, on Grade Level 13 and above.
Record shows that those who have joined the ASCSN are the most committed members who are seen to be fathers and pilers of the Exco. Yes, they are the most regular members in our General Meetings.
Record have it also that our last Congress have 13 members in attendance against usual 70/80 members who used to attend meetings.
Now, the National Body have said that Delegates Conference will be after Sala - third week of June, 2018.
The fundamental question is that since April 12, the tenure of the executive have expired and why is it that the National Body is refusing to set up a care taker committee?
Why should Union trade on illegality?
Why don't our Exco take the part of honour and integrity as Activists and Comrades?
Who is to mostly be see respecting rule of laws, due process?
Where is Democracy, Integrity, Moral Value and Religion ethics on the part of our National Body/Branch Exco?
Sincerely, frankly and putting personal interest aside for Peace and Unity of SSASCGOC FHA, I have two weeks a go resigned as Secretary but as a member, I must rationally educates the few remaining members of SSASCGOC FHA to avoid misinformation.
As a Comrade, it pains me that SSASCGOC FHA/the should have expired exco as it is, don't have moral justification to negotiates with management on our welfare.
It pains me that many have left to the ASCSN.
In all, I charge you the few remaining members of SSASCGOC FHA and all Comrades in Nigeria, to learn from this and stay away from Fragile Religion Sentiments or Comments for it kills Social Movement in an organization/Nigeria.
