We are fed up with politicians who treat public office like their personal bank account. We need real leaders who serve the people.
Prince Adewole Adebayo tells News Central how SDP can bring real change.

THREE THINGS THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE DOING THAT THEY ARE NOT DOING.

Before Tinubu, a cup of garri cost ₦100. Today, that same cup costs over ₦600.
Rice. Beans. Yam. Every single thing you put on your family's table has tripled or worse — in less than three years.
And what did workers get in return? A minimum wage of ₦70,000 that unions fought and struck for. only to watch food prices race past it before the ink dried. Many employers haven't even paid it.
A teacher in Lagos told journalists last year: "We weren't eating beans anymore. A cup was almost ₦1,800 from ₦500."
This is not an accident. The fuel subsidy removal, the naira float, the electricity hikes: every one of these decisions was made in A*o Rock and paid for at the market by you.
Nigerians are suffering because they have a government that does not feel their pain.
Adewole Adebayo and the SDP believe that an economy must work for the people who live in it — not just the people who run it.
Real change is possible. But it requires all of us.

Happy Workers’ Day 🇳🇬
Today, we honor the hands that never give up, the hearts that keep believing, and the strength behind every honest day’s work. You wake up, you show up, you keep going and that alone is powerful.
Your labour is not in vain. A better, kinder, and more rewarding Nigeria is possible, and you deserve to live in it.

Nigerians must remember that we have a responsibility to keep our government accountable.
Whatever the truth behind the INEC Chairman’s X post, those entrusted with overseeing our elections must uphold the highest standards of integrity, impartiality and public accountability.
For too long, Nigerians have been asked to accept excuses, denials and a culture of impunity from those in positions of trust. This is eroding confidence in our democracy and deepening cynicism.
I believe leadership must be rooted in honesty, responsibility and the courage to admit mistakes when they happen. That is how I have lived my life, how I lead in the SDP, and how I will always serve Nigeria.

Over the weekend, I had the honour of visiting Kaduna as part of my state tour to attend the 60th convention and anniversary of the United Church of Christ in Nigeria (HEKAN). It was a blessing to celebrate with the faithful and to reaffirm my commitment to supporting the church and its impactful initiatives.
I remain deeply grateful for the warm reception and for the opportunity to contribute to development projects that uplift women, empower youth, and support our retired clergy. Service to humanity and faith in God continue to guide my dedication to building a better Nigeria for all.
God bless Nigeria. 🇳🇬

The blood of innocent Nigerians cries out from the soil of Plateau State, and those in power must answer.
I visited the impacted communities myself and saw the grief, the fear, and the displacement that cowardly attackers have left behind. This is unacceptable. Every Nigerian deserves to live safely in their home, no one should be driven from their land by terror.
Let me be clear: these criminals are not more powerful than the Nigerian state. They are not better resourced. They succeed only where political will fails. Mr. President, the Constitution places the security of every Nigerian life in your hands. The resources are there. The intelligence capacity is there. What is needed is decisive action, NOW.
Plateau State and the entire Middle Belt are the glue holding this nation together. Continued violence here is not just a regional crisis, it is a threat to Nigeria's unity and survival.
To the communities on the ground: do not let them divide you along ethnic or religious lines. That is exactly what these criminals want. Rise above it. Identify them. Isolate them. And demand justice through lawful means.
We will not be silenced. We will not stop engaging until peace is restored and the perpetrators face the full weight of the law.
