Sallah: Ekiti SSG, Adubiaro Greets Muslim Ummah

The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, has sent her warmest greetings to Muslims in Ekiti State on the celebration of this year's Eid-el-Kabir.
Prof. Adubiaro, in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, congratulated adherents of the Islamic faith for being alive to witness another festive season on earth.

She stated that Eid-el-Kabir is a period that reminds mankind of how Prophet Ibrahim's faith was tested by Almighty Allah and how he was greatly rewarded for keeping to his promise.

According to her, the occasion teaches the moral lesson of the great rewards that await those who fulfil promises made to God and fellow human beings, even at difficult and desperate moments.

The SSG called on Muslims to remain steadfast in the face of challenges and always keep to their promises to God and humanity.
“It is my heartfelt pleasure to felicitate Muslims in Ekiti State on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, which is an important occasion in the Muslim calendar.

“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of how Prophet Ibrahim’s faith was put to test and how he was rewarded by Almighty Allah for keeping to his promise.
“I want to urge Muslims to emulate the exemplary life of Prophet Ibrahim by remaining steadfast even in the face of difficulties and by keeping all promises made to God and fellow human beings,” she said.

Prof. Adubiaro further urged Muslims to use the opportunity of the festive period to pray for the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the forthcoming June 20 governorship election so that the good governance currently being enjoyed in Ekiti State can continue uninterrupted till 2030.
She also advised Muslims to celebrate in moderation and wished them a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.

“Let us use this period to pray for the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the June 20 governorship election.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, I wish all Muslims a happy celebration and many more years to witness it on earth. Eid Mubarak.”

Again, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji is set to patronise Ekiti Sheep, Goat and Ram Sellers Association for bulk and direct purchase ahead of the upcoming 2026 Ileya festival.

The initiative is in continuation of Governor Oyebanji's administration to boost local businesses and ensure resource inflow and circulation during major festive periods.

Leading the government delegation to the Adere Neighbourhood Market in Ado-Ekiti is the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro alongside the Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho.

This afternoon, the Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro joined the First Lady of Ekiti state, Her Excellency, Prof. Olayemi Oyebanji at a meeting with APC women campaign held at the conference hall, First Lady’s office, Ado-Ekiti.

The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, alongside other prominent leaders of the APC, joined the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, at the Ado-Ekiti Gubernatorial Campaign Rally held at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion along New Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday.

This afternoon, the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, joined the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, at the centenary celebration of elder statesman and Afenifere leader, Pa Chief Reuben Fasoranti, held at his residence in Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State.

The event was also attended by the Executive Governors of Ondo and Ogun States, His Excellencies Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Prince Dapo Abiodun. Other dignitaries present included former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi; former Governor Olusegun Mimiko; and several other prominent personalities.

On Tuesday, the Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro among other prominent party leaders accompanied the State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji on campaign tour to Ilejemeje, Moba, and Ido-Osi local governments in continuation of his ongoing statewide grassroots engagement and LGA tour.

*Ekiti SSG, Prof. Adubiaro To Deliver Inaugural Lecture At FUOYE*

Prof. Habibat Omolara Adubiaro, Secretary to the Ekiti state Government and a Professor of Food Chemistry, is set to deliver the 23rd Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) tittled "From Biodiversity to Biovalue" . The lecture will take place on April 28, 2026, at the New 1000 Sitting Capacity Hall, FUOYE main campus.

This event is expected to attract scholars in the sciences, agriculturists, and industry stakeholders interested in food chemistry.

In her lecture, Prof. Adubiaro will discuss the untapped potential of local flora, addressing critical global challenges such as food security, nutritional optimization, and sustainable industrial application of plant-based bio resources.

A reception will follow the lecture at AB-Events Centre Opopogboro, Ado-Ekiti. As a renowned expert, Prof. Adubiaro's work has garnered recognition, including her recent promotion to the rank of Professor of Chemistry, which was congratulated by Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.

Prof. Adubiaro is known for her philanthropic efforts, recently marking her 60th birthday by celebrating with children at the Therapy centre for children with disabilities in Ado-Ekiti where she donated generously to the children.

This morning, the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, attended the inauguration of the National Forum of Former Legislators, Ekiti State Chapter, held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House Grounds, Ado-Ekiti.
At the event, the Governor was presented with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding performance and was also endorsed for a second term alongside the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
