Bureau of Special Projects Holds Maiden Christmas Carol and End-of-Year Celebration

The Bureau of Special Projects has successfully hosted its maiden edition of the Christmas Carol and End-of-Year celebration, bringing together management and staff in a colourful and joyous atmosphere. The event which took place at the new hall of the Bureau marked a significant milestone as the Bureau joined the rest of the state in ushering in the festive season with gratitude, unity, and renewed hope.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Mr. Bunmi Talabi, graced the ceremony alongside directors in the Bureau and a large turnout of staff who participated enthusiastically in the celebration. His presence added prestige to the occasion, reflecting the administration’s commitment to fostering team spirit and boosting staff morale.

To enrich the carol service, invited choirs from the Ekiti State Electricity Board, the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency as well as the host Choir delivered inspiring musical renditions. Their performances elevated the spiritual ambience of the gathering, filling the hall with melodious hymns and joyful Christmas tunes that resonated with everyone present.

A memorable highlight of the event was the lively after-party, where staff and guests came together to celebrate in an atmosphere of excitement and togetherness. Laughter, music, and dance filled the air as attendees enjoyed the opportunity to unwind, bond, and reflect on the successes of the year.

The maiden Christmas Carol and End-of-Year celebration not only strengthened camaraderie within the Bureau but also set a positive tone for the coming year. Many participants described the event as refreshing, motivating, and a welcome addition to the Bureau’s tradition.

The Bureau of Special Projects holds the November edition of the first working day of the month prayer at the office building in Ado Ekiti.

The session was anchored by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Projects Hon. Bunmi Talabi who spoke extensively on the topic gratitude and text was taken from Psalm 148.

At the prayer session was the Executive Secretary, Mr Toyin Akilo, the Directors and members of Staff of the Bureau.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on July 30 commissioned the Ekiti State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (Ekiti -LPRES) State Office at Agric, Olope, in Ado Ekiti.

LPRES is a world bank project in collaboration with the state Government.

Governor Oyebanji at the commissioning said, the State Government will support the implementation of the Ekiti L-PRES project for its potential to enhance the existing livestock value chain in the state.

He equally said, Ekiti-LPRES has enhanced the state's extension services by engaging 20 livestock extension advisory service providers and 100 community livestock extension service providers.

Present at the commissioning with The Governor are, the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Christianah Afuye, the former acting Governor of the State, Hon. Tope Ademiluyi, the Head of Service, Dr. Folake Olomojobi, the Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture and food security, Mr. Ebenezer Boluwade, Special Adviser, Bureau of Special Projects, Arch. Tope Ogunleye, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Building, Hon. Bunmi Talabi among others.

Progress Report of Ongoing Work at the College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan Ekiti.
The College was established in the year 2014 as College of Technical and Commercial Agriculture at Isan-Ekiti by Dr John Kayode Fayemi led Government of Ekiti-State with focus on middle-level manpower development in the Agricultural sector.
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on assumption of office as the Governor of Ekiti State in 2018, he reiterated his commitment to the vision behind the establishment of the College and the development of agriculture which is one of the four-point agenda of his administration.
This led to the college re-enactment in 2019 under the provision of the Ekiti State College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan-Ekiti (Re-enactment) Law, No.6 of 2019. The College officially kicked-off in September 2019 as a Polytechnics.
