HALF-DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR PVC COLLECTION
The Ekiti State Government has declared a half-day public holiday to enable civil and public servants across the state to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji has directed that workers close at 12 noon to participate in the ongoing PVC collection exercise by INEC, while officers on essential duties are to remain at their duty posts.
Your PVC is your voice. It is a vital tool for democratic participation and an opportunity to shape the future of Ekiti State.
Eligible residents who are yet to collect their PVCs are encouraged to take advantage of this window and do so within the stipulated period.

Today, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), in partnership with the Ekiti State Government, hosted the 2026 Seasonal Climate Prediction Downscaling and Annual Flood Outlook workshop in Ado-Ekiti.
The program brought together key stakeholders to discuss localized weather and climate forecasts, helping farmers, government agencies, and communities make informed decisions ahead of the planting season and prepare for potential flood risks.

A thriving business starts with the right support.
Today, 2,000 women petty traders across Ekiti State received a major boost through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Economic Empowerment Programme, an initiative of Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the Ekiti First Lady Mega Empowerment Programme via the Widows, Aged & Orphans Hope Support Foundation (WAOH).
Beyond financial support, beneficiaries were empowered with essential work tools and equipment, including sewing machines, grinding machines, refrigerators, generators, and other business assets designed to help them grow and sustain their livelihoods.
This intervention is more than an empowerment programme,it is an investment in entrepreneurship, economic independence, and the prosperity of families and communities across Ekiti State.

ICT Center at the College of Nursing Sciences, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti.
This impressive 250-capacity facility was commissioned by Governor Biodun Oyebanji alongside former Governor Engr. Segun Oni on November 5, 2025, and delivered through the World Bank-funded IMPACT Project.
Designed to support digital learning and healthcare education, the Center provides students with access to modern technology, computer-based learning and assessment tools, digital resources and a conducive environment for academic growth.
By equipping future healthcare professionals with vital ICT skills, the facility strengthens the foundation for quality healthcare education and a more technologically advanced healthcare system in Ekiti State.

Ekiti reaches a major milestone as Community Investment Fund (CIF) is disbursed to Women Affinity Groups across the state.
