EKITI NSCDC DEPLOYS 1023 PERSONNEL FOR EASTER CELEBRATIONS.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command (NSCDC) has deployed 1,023 officers and Men to places of worship and other strategic locations across the State to maintain water-tight security and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure before , during and after Easter celebrations.
The State Commandant Mr Toma Matthew Enya who stated this at his office along Ado Ikere Road, Ekiti State assured Ekiti people of adequate security and prompt response to distress calls that will be provided by the personnel both uniformed and other covert officers at various Churches, places of relaxation as well as identified black spots to prevent possible breakdown of law and order, and to ensure that adequate safety on government and private infrastructure during the Easter festivities.
Commandant Toma Enya also gave assurances of a safe and secured Ekiti as a result of the deployment of tactical and specialized units, like the Counter Terrorism Units, the Armed Squad Unit and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Unit to nip any form of crime and criminalities in the bud ensuring that people of Ekiti State can have a joyous Easter celebrations in collaboration with other sister's agency in the state.
He warned that there will be zero tolerance for any persons or groups capable of causing disharmony or breach of peace and that, such will be met by the full wrath of the law and will not be taken lightly.
He congratulated Christians on this year's Easter celebrations and urged Ekiti residents to go about their daily activities without fear from any quarter during the Easter holidays.

EKITI NSCDC CELEBRATES 2026 ICDO DAY.
The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) have rolled out the drums to celebrate this year's International Civil Defense Organization day.
The theme for this year's celebration is 'Managing Environmental Risks for a Resilient and Sustainable Future' emphasizing the intersection of environmental, safety, disaster management and long-term sustainability as espoused by the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR. who earlier flagged off this year's celebration at the national headquarters in Abuja.
Several activities were lined up to celebrate the day. A special jumat service was held at Ado Ekiti Central Mosque where prayers were offered for the Commandant General, the Corps, Ekiti State and the nation.
The programme continued with a sensitization campaign march on major streets of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, focusing on the theme by officers and men while the command's Environmental unit were engaged in sanitation of public spaces as a form of social responsibility and to drive home the theme of the year.
A thanksgiving service was held at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Okesha, Ado Ekiti. Where the state Commandant Mr. Toma Matthew Enya highlighted the significance of the celebration and the importance of protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the state.
Prayers were offered for the Corps and for peace and progress of the nation.
The celebrations were rounded off with a lecture titled 'Managing Environmental Risks for a Resilient and Sustainable future' at the state Command headquarters, Ado Ikere road Ekiti State. by Deputy Commandant of Corps H. Maha, Head, Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives. (CBRNE) who diligently dissected the topic and urged officers and men to continue to educate the public on managing environmental risks in the ever-changing world so as to have a sustainable future.

EKITI NSCDC DECORATES 75 NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS WITH A CALL TO REFLECT THE ELEVATION ON BETTER SERVICE DELIVERY TO THE PEOPLE.
The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) has held the decoration ceremony of senior officers that were promoted in the 2025 senior promotion exercise.
A total number of 75 senior officers were decorated during the ceremony that was held at the premises of the Command Headquarters, along Ado-Ikere road, Ekiti State.
The ceremony was graced by service Chiefs from sister agencies, friends and families of promoted officers.
Delivering the keynote address, the state Commandant, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya, pslc congratulated the newly promoted officers, praised them for their efforts geared towards the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure with a call to them on the need to reflect their elevations on service delivery and other services to the nation.
Mr Toma Enya further charged them to double their efforts by ensuring more commitment, discipline, professionalism and dedication in the discharge of their duties in the overall interest of the Corps and the nation.
In her goodwill message, the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Ekiti State Command, Mrs L U Anatogu congratulated the officers for the well deserved promotion and reiterated the need for them to see their elevation as a call to higher responsibilities in National Service.
Responding, on behalf of the newly decorated officers Deputy Commandant of Corps Adeyeye Samuel Ojo, expressed his appreciation to the management of the Corps and pledged to continue to uphold the highest standard of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

EKITI NSCDC COMMANDANT HOSTS NEW IMMIGRATION BOSS.
The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya has played host to the newly posted state Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) CIS L U Anatogu at his office along Ado-Ikere road, Ekiti State.
Mrs Anatogu, who came along with her top management team was warmly received and inspected a guard of honour mounted on her arrival. She stated that the visit was to strengthen the existing synergy between the two organizations, emphasized the need for intelligence sharing to curb incidents of crime in the society and pledged her support to the Corps in order continue safeguarding Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.
In this remark, Commandant Toma Matthew Enya welcomed her to Ekiti State, expressed his delight at the visit and pledged his continued support to the Nigeria Immigration Service and to explore areas of common interest in order to deliver on the core mandates of protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.
A commemorative plaque was presented to Mr Toma Enya who expressed pleasure at receiving the gift and reiterated his commitment to a robust collaboration with all security agencies in the state so as to rid the State of crime and criminalities.

EKITI NSCDC COMMANDANT ORDERS DEPLOYMENT OF 1120 PERSONNEL FOR CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS.
Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Ekiti State Command, Toma Matthew Enya pslc has deployed 1,120 officers and men to ensure adequate security before, during and after Christmas and New Year celebrations.
To ensure a peaceful celebration in the state, Armed and unarmed personnel from Operations department, Armed Squad, Agro Rangers, Female Strike force, CNAI department, Safe School Unit, CBRNE Unit ,Area Commands, Divisions, and LCDAs have been deployed to every nook and cranny of the state.
The Critical National Assets and Infrastructure department will be out to protect electrical installations, telecommunications facilities, transportation and other important private and government installations that are essential to human survival. The Chemical Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives response Unit are also lined up to check illegal usage of fusion and fission that can harm people before during and after the Yuletide.
The Counter Terrorism Unit are to monitor and carryout thorough screening of crowded places to complement officers and men from Intelligence and Investigation department who are on covert surveillance operations to safeguard lives and property.
Other formations outside the state capital are to stand firm and follow the provisional security order sent to them religiously and work in synergy with all para-military and non para -military outfits in their respective areas to make sure that their environment and inhabitants are secured.
Commandant Toma Enya appealed to members of the public to cooperate with security agents by reporting suspicious activities in their areas, He warned that breach of peace and any form of criminality will not be tolerated in the State and assured residents of the state of a peaceful and secured Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The NSCDC boss also wished residents of the state a Merry Christmas and happy new Year celebrations.

COMMANDANT TOMA ENYA OF EKITI STATE NSCDC HOSTS EKITI POLICE RRS UNIT COMMANDER, READS RIOT ACT TO CRIMINALS.
In a bid to ensure a safe and secure Ekiti State and its environs, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Toma Enya has hosted the Nigeria Police Unit Commander of the Rapid Response Squad, (RRS) Ekiti State Command, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Marcus Ogundola, in his office along Ado-Ikere Road Ekiti State.
The visit, which was a testament to Commandant Toma's proactive approach in ensuring a more secure society through forging virile partnerships, synergy and collaboration with other security agencies in the State, most especially the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure CNAI and the fight against all forms of crime and criminalities particularly during the Ember months.
Commandant Toma Enya, reiterated his zero tolerance stance on all forms illegalities in the State just as he vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone or groups found breaching the law.
He also assured residents of Ekiti State and environs of adequate security before, during and after the Yuletide period.
CSP Ogundola, in his reaction, praised the giant strides of Commandant Toma Enya in Ekiti State and the synergy which exists between the two agencies and prayed for its continuance through intelligence gathering and sharing to forestall any form breakdown of law and order in the state during the Ember months.

EKITI NSCDC OFFICERS REJOICE AS COMMANDANT TOMA PROVIDES FREE TRANSPORTATION.
The State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr Toma Matthew Enya pslc has provided free transportation to enable all the eligible officers who were proposed to write 2025 junior promotion examination at the zonal headquarters of the Command pro bono.
The officers who heaped praises on the Commandant, thanks the Commandant General Prof Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR for giving the command a welfarist who is always acting on the instruction of the Commandant General.
They pledged their unalloyed support and maintain decorum during the examination by obeying all the rules and regulation guiding the conduct of the examinations.
The State Commandant who said that the gesture became necessary to boost the morale of junior officers been the Corps foot soldier opined that this kind inputs will make them to feel their services are sine qua non to the development of the Corps and the State Command.
The bus that conveyed the officers departed the state command with a hilux rear es**rt to lead the team to Akure.

COMMANDANT TOMA ENYA OF EKITI NSCDC HOSTS COMMANDING OFFICER, 148 BATTALION NIGERIA ARMY EKITI STATE.
Commandant Toma Enya of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ekiti State Command has hosted the newly posted Commanding Officer, 148 Battalion, Nigeria Army Ekiti State Lt. Colonel S.A Inusa, at his office.
Lt. Col. Inusa, who is the pioneer Commanding Officer of the newly established Army formation in Ekiti State, who inspected a guard of honour, mounted to honour his arrival, praised the doggedness and professionalism of Civil Defence Officers and Men in the discharge of their duties, appreciated the synergy and collaboration between the two organizations since inception of the Corps.
The Commanding Officer called for the sustenance of the existing cooperation and strengthening of the relationship just as he pledged to support the Corps in her drive to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure that are pivotal to the socioeconomic development of the nation.
In his response, Commandant Toma Enya welcomed him to Ekiti State, expressed his delight at the visit as he deemed it timely for the much needed support that is aimed at enhancing the Corps' operations in curbing incidences of vandalism of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure and the activities of illegal miners among others in the State.
He also assured his guest of continued support to the Nigeria Army in its quest to enhance internal security in the state with workable intelligence sharing and good communication linkages that can assist both organizations to curb security breaches.

EKITI NSCDC COMMANDANT HOSTS CONTROLLER, CORRECTIONAL SERVICE.
Commandant Toma Matthew Enya of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Ekiti State Command has played host to the newly posted Controller of Correctional Service, Controller Okuseinde Christy Oluremi at his office along Ado-Ikere Road Ekiti State.
The Controller, who was on a courtesy visit lauded the synergy and collaboration that exists between the two agencies especially, the support given to her predecessors by the NSCDC in Ekiti, prayed for the sustenance of the synergy, and promised to support the Corps in the discharge of its core mandates.
On his part, Commandant Toma Enya, welcomed Mrs Christy Oluremi Okuseinde to Ekiti State, thanked her for the visit and pledged a continued support to the Nigeria Correctional Service just as he identified Correctional Centres as one of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure under the purview of the Civil Defence Corps to guard against incidences of jailbreak and general protection of the facilities.

EKITI NSCDC CELEBRATES WORLD PEACE DAY
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, today joined the peace loving people of Ekiti State to commerorate 2025 World Peace Day at the headquarters of the Command along Ikere / Ado Road, Ekiti State.
The ceremony which began with a three kilometre road show with the State Commandant leading the officers and men of the Command moved as early as 7am with the command's bands to entertain the officers and numerous onlookers who were amazed at the perseverance of the officers as they were moving without stress during the road show.
The road show was later terminated at the command's auditorium where lectures bordered on peace, development, security of lives and property, togetherness and love was delivered by a guest lecture Barr. Khadijat Kolawole Adeniyi where she emphasized the need to maintain peace, good neighborliness and sustenance of peace.
The State Commandant Mr Toma Matthew Enya pslc thanked the Commandant General Prof Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR for his commendable leadership roles that has been keeping the Corps going without dereliction on the need to protect critical national assets and infrastructure amongst other functions.
The State Commandant who stated the importance of peace in the development of the community, State and Country thanked all the heroes and heroines who laid down lives and paid supreme prices for the World to know peace with a call to the people of the state to continue supporting the Command in all her activities especially the ones directed to support peace initiative of the state government.
The ceremony was brought to a close with peace ambassador awards bestowed on some prominent members of the state which included Chief Mrs Fadekemi Owoeye, Alhaji Abdul Yusuf, Chief Tope Ojo and others.

EKITI NSCDC HOSTS SECURITY AGENCIES, OTHER STAKEHOLDERS ON PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE (CNAI)
The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has hosted a one-day stakeholders summit on the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) at the State Headquarters along Ado-Ikere Road Ekiti State.
The meeting, which was at the behest of the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR and Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was aimed at discussions, coordination and planning towards safeguarding Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, recognizing them as pivotal to the socioeconomic development of Nigeria.
Convener of the summit, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya pslc Commandant, NSCDC Ekiti State, in his keynote address highlighted the importance of Critical National Assets to National development and the role of Civil Defence as as a leading agency with core mandates rooted in protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, enumerated several practical measures that could be taken in safeguarding them, sought synergy and collaboration with all security agencies in the State to guard against all forms of economic sabotage.
In his goodwill message, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Governor of Ekiti State who was represented by the Senior Special Adviser on Security, Brigadier General Emmanuel Ogundana Rtd lauded Civil Defence Corps in Ekiti State for their commitment and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, vowed to offer assistance to the Corps to enable it deliver more on its core mandates.
The summit was attended by the leadership of all security agencies in Ekiti State with representatives from Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), Ekiti State Electricity Board, Emergency Communication Control (ECC) National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and Ekiti State Electricity Bureau amongst others.
Stakeholders, in their presentation unanimously agreed that the importance of security of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure cannot be overemphasized and pledged to collaborate through intelligence gathering and sharing among other measures to rid the State of all form of vandalism of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

SOUTHWEST COMMANDANTS ATTEND SEMINAR ON DDR
The Six Southwest Commandants of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) attended the SouthWest Regional Consultative forum on the harmonization of the National Disarmament Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) framework.
DDR which is an important strategies and tools that is sufficiently potent in managing arm and light weapon crisis globally, is always geared towards restoring peace and directed at peace building, peace maintenance and peace enforcement.
Commandants of Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos were present at the 2 day workshop organised by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) on a seminar theme: Harmonization of the National DDR framework, creating exit pathways out of the violence and criminality through regional solutions.
The conference was centered on the need for each region to map out acceptable strategies using local machinery and tact to discourage, persuade and reintegrate actors who were hitherto disturbing the peace of the region to take part in the development and peace building process of the region by engaging DDR options to restore peace and security.
The two day programme was held between Monday 25th and 26th August 2025 at Oduduwa Conference Hall of Golden Tulip Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo state.
