NSCDC, DSS Strengthen Partnership on Intelligence Sharing, Training and Operations in Ekiti.

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, CC Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, has reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC to strengthening collaboration with sister security agencies towards enhancing security and public safety in the state.

He stated this while on a courtesy visit to the State Director, Department of State Services (DSS), Dr. N. Obi Bisong, at the DSS State Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti.

The visit was aimed at engaging critical stakeholders and security agencies in the State to deepen existing relationships and enhance synergy for effective discharge of the Corps' mandate.

Speaking during the visit, Commandant Sotiyo emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation between the NSCDC and DSS, particularly in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations and capacity building.

He noted that effective information sharing and inter-agency cooperation were essential to addressing emerging security challenges and ensuring a coordinated response to threats to peace and public safety.

The Commandant also reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), stressing that collaboration with sister security agencies remained vital to safeguarding strategic assets and infrastructure across the state.

Responding, the DSS State Director, Dr. N. Obi Bisong, expressed delight at the visit and described her relationship with the Civil Defence Corps as very cordial.

She pledged the continued partnership of the DSS with the NSCDC, particularly in intelligence sharing, operations and training, noting that stronger synergy among security agencies would contribute to more effective security management in the state.

Dr. Bisong assured the Commandant of the DSS’s readiness to sustain and deepen the existing relationship with the NSCDC for the collective interest of the people of Ekiti State.

The visit ended with an exchange of souvenirs between the two agencies, symbolising their commitment to sustaining the cordial relationship and strengthening inter-agency collaboration.

NSCDC, NIGERIAN ARMY Strengthen Security Collaboration in Ekiti.

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, CC Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, has received the Brigade Commander, 8th Brigade, Nigerian Army, Ekiti State, Brigadier General M. S. Adamu, who paid a courtesy visit to the NSCDC State Command Headquarters.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the Nigerian Army and the NSCDC, as well as exploring areas of greater cooperation between the two security agencies.

Speaking during the visit, Brigadier General Adamu, who was the pioneering Brigade Commander, commended the NSCDC for its positive role in Nigeria's security architecture.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration among security agencies, urging them to complement one another rather than compete, in order to enhance national security.

The Brigade Commander also charged officers and men to remain patriotic and maintain the highest standards of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

He further sought sustained operational support from the NSCDC.

Responding, the Commandant, CC Sotiyo Igbalawole thanked Brigadier General Adamu for the visit and highlighted the important role of the Nigerian Army in supporting the NSCDC.

He noted that the support has enabled the Corps to effectively deliver on its core mandates, particularly the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, as well as other services, especially in the areas of training and capacity building.

He pledged the Command's continued support for the Nigerian Army through intelligence sharing and joint operations. He also sought the continued support of the Nigerian Army in the areas of training and retraining to further enhance the capacity and operational effectiveness of NSCDC personnel.

The highlight of the visit was the exchange of plaques between the two helmsmen as a gesture of goodwill and to commemorate the occasion.

NSCDC COMMANDANT VISITS NCoS, REAFFIRMS INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, has paid a courtesy visit to the Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Ekiti State Command, CC Adebukola Alaba Ajeleti, at her office in Ado-Ekiti.

The visit was a part of a series of engagements with critical stakeholders in the state, aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration and fostering closer working relationships among security and other relevant agencies since his assumption of office.

During the visit, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole commended the management of the NCoS for the warm reception and called for continued collaboration between the two agencies. He also reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), including correctional facilities in the state.

In her response, the NCoS Controller, CC Adebukola Alaba Ajeleti, commended the NSCDC for its contributions to the protection and security of NCoS facilities, particularly the correctional facility in Ado-Ekiti.

She emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation between the two agencies in ensuring effective security and the protection of correctional facilities in the state.

Further demonstrating the cordial relationship between the two agencies, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel presented a plaque to the NCoS Controller as a gesture of appreciation and a symbol of continued partnerships.

NSCDC COMMANDANT VISITS EFCC, SEEKS STRONGER COLLABORATION

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ahmed Usman, at his office along the Old Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two organisations and exploring areas of cooperation.

Speaking during the visit, Commandant Sotiyo commended the EFCC for its proactive efforts in the fight against financial crimes in Ekiti State.

He highlighted the functions of the NSCDC, especially its responsibility for the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), as well as its prompt response to emergencies in the State.

The Commandant sought the continued partnership of the EFCC, with a view to strengthening inter-agency cooperation and ensuring a crime-free State.

In his response, Mr Usman commended the NSCDC for its role in ensuring the protection of EFCC facilities before and after the commencement of the Commission's operations in Ekiti State.

He also acknowledged the existing synergy between the two organisations, particularly in areas relating to their operations.

Mr Usman called for the sustenance of the collaboration, especially in the areas of intelligence sharing and training, noting that stronger inter-agency cooperation would contribute to effective crime prevention and improved security in the State.

NSCDC COMMANDANT HOSTS CIVIL DEFENCE OFFICERS’ WIVES ASSOCIATION, PLEDGES SUPPORT

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, has charged members of the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA), Ekiti State Command, to remain supportive partners to their husbands and responsible mothers to their children.

Commandant Sotiyo gave the charge while addressing members of the Association during an engagement at the State Command Headquarters.

He emphasised the important role of wives in promoting peace, stability and unity within the family, noting that their support and understanding could contribute significantly to the wellbeing and effectiveness of their husbands in the discharge of their duties.

The Commandant urged the women to continue to encourage and support their husbands, particularly given the demanding nature of their responsibilities, while ensuring that their children are properly nurtured, guided and brought up with good values.

He also stressed the need for members of the Association to uphold the dignity of the Corps through responsible conduct, while fostering unity, cooperation and mutual support among themselves.

Commandant Sotiyo, who serves as the Patron of the Association, pledged his full support for its activities, particularly in the area of welfare.

He assured the members that their welfare and wellbeing would receive appropriate attention under his leadership, adding that he would continue to support initiatives aimed at strengthening the Association and improving the welfare of its members.

The Commandant encouraged the women to remain united and committed to the objectives of the Association, assuring them of an open-door policy and his readiness to work with them towards the advancement of their collective interests.

He commended the members for their contributions to the wellbeing of their families and the overall success of their husbands in the service of the nation.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the Commandant and members of the Association to interact on issues relating to family welfare, unity and the progress of the Association.

EKSIEC CHAIRMAN VISITS NSCDC EKITI COMMANDANT AHEAD OF 2026 LG ELECTIONS

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC), Rt. Hon. Justice Ilori Akintayo (Rtd.), has paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, at the Command Headquarters.

The visit comes ahead of the forthcoming local government elections scheduled to hold in December 2026 in Ekiti State.

Justice Akintayo lauded the NSCDC for its commitment and professionalism, particularly in providing security during local government elections in the state.

He noted that NSCDC officers and personnel had distinguished themselves through effective service delivery during previous elections in Ekiti State.

The EKSIEC Chairman further expressed the hope that the existing partnership between EKSIEC and the NSCDC would be sustained, particularly in the areas of security and monitoring during elections.

Responding, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole thanked the Chairman and his team for the visit and pledged the continued support of the NSCDC to EKSIEC in ensuring the protection of electoral officers, electoral materials and the electorate before, during and after the elections.

He further reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC to continued collaboration with critical stakeholders towards achieving a safer and more secure state.

EKITI NSCDC DECORATES 75 NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS WITH A CALL TO REFLECT THE ELEVATION ON BETTER SERVICE DELIVERY TO THE PEOPLE.

The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) has held the decoration ceremony of senior officers that were promoted in the 2025 senior promotion exercise.

A total number of 75 senior officers were decorated during the ceremony that was held at the premises of the Command Headquarters, along Ado-Ikere road, Ekiti State.

The ceremony was graced by service Chiefs from sister agencies, friends and families of promoted officers.

Delivering the keynote address, the state Commandant, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya, pslc congratulated the newly promoted officers, praised them for their efforts geared towards the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure with a call to them on the need to reflect their elevations on service delivery and other services to the nation.

Mr Toma Enya further charged them to double their efforts by ensuring more commitment, discipline, professionalism and dedication in the discharge of their duties in the overall interest of the Corps and the nation.

In her goodwill message, the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Ekiti State Command, Mrs L U Anatogu congratulated the officers for the well deserved promotion and reiterated the need for them to see their elevation as a call to higher responsibilities in National Service.

Responding, on behalf of the newly decorated officers Deputy Commandant of Corps Adeyeye Samuel Ojo, expressed his appreciation to the management of the Corps and pledged to continue to uphold the highest standard of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
