End of an Era

Today, the Judiciary Council SUG successfully conducted their Call to Bar Examination, marking a significant milestone ahead of the upcoming Call to Bar Ceremony and Legal Year Declaration.
The examination is a crucial step in ensuring that aspiring lawyers/ESQ possess the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their profession. We commend the candidates for their dedication and hard work.

The Call to Bar Ceremony and Legal Year Declaration are scheduled to take place on:

The long awaited program

On June 25, 2025, I had the privilege of participating in the pre-convention meeting of the South East Council of Student Chief Judges, held at the esteemed Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu. The gathering brought together distinguished chief judges from various institutions across the South East region to strategize and plan for the betterment of our zone and the upcoming convention.
During the visit, we were warmly received by key officials of IMT, including the Legal Adviser, the Director of Transport, the Deputy Rector, and, most notably, the Rector, a distinguished Professor of Law. Their hospitality and support were truly commendable, creating a conducive environment for meaningful discussions. The deputy Rector’s warm reception and insightful contributions underscored his commitment to fostering academic and judicial excellence, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
The meeting focused on collaborative efforts to enhance the operations of the South East Council of Student Chief Judges and to ensure the success of the forthcoming convention. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Judiciary Council of IMT for their exceptional hospitality and to all the chief judges from various institutions for their invaluable contributions. Your dedication and innovative ideas are pivotal to advancing our shared goals and ensuring the success of our zone’s initiatives.
As we move forward, I am confident that the plans laid out during this pre-convention will pave the way for a successful convention and a stronger, more unified South East Council of Student Chief Judges. Thank you all for your unwavering commitment to this noble cause.
