Saturday 19th November 2022, Igboetiti/Uzo-uwani federal constituency stood still for Chief Sam Chijioke Ekwueme as he officially flagged off his campaign at Ogbede.
The colourful ceremony which started with a road show from Diogbe - Umunko criss crossed various communities and berthed at the campaign headquarters, Ogbede.
Youths, men and women tropped out in their numbers to see the man of the moment whose preoccupation has been attracting critical infrastructural projects to his constituents. From asphalt roads to boreholes and street lights etc. The list is endless.
The creme de la creme of the society and party bigwigs graced the occasion to give honour to whom honour is due.
The Minister of State, Budget and Planning Prince Clem Agba in his speech told the people that voting Sam Ekwueme in the forthcoming elections will be the best thing to happen to the constituency. He noted that for 24 years the ruling Peoples Democratic Party had left the state poorer with dilapidated infrastructure.
He reminded the audience that the PDP states in the country have remained the poverty capitals of the country .
Speaker after speaker extolled the qualities of Sam Ekwueme for his passion in always thinking about the ways to better the living conditions of his people.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance included the former speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Eugene Odo, the Senatorial Candidate of APC, Enugu North Zone, Ambassador Ejike Eze, South East woman leader Hon Uchenna Diyoke and a host of others
