I have always believed in the girl child, and I am unapologetically biased in her favour. Not simply because I am a father of three daughters, but because I recognise that girls are too often overlooked in the scheme of things, despite the immense potential they carry and the contributions they can make to society.

We have a responsibility to ensure that every girl has access to quality education, adequate protection, capacity-building opportunities and the support she needs to develop her skills, fulfil her potential and pursue her aspirations. No girl should be held back by circumstances, discrimination or limitations imposed by society.

A society that invests in its girls secures a stronger future for its families, communities and generations to come.

On this International Day of the Girl Child, let us move beyond celebrating girls to creating the conditions that enable them to thrive.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to become all she is capable of being.

100 days to go.

As I seek to represent Delta North once again, I carry with me the voice, hopes and aspirations of our people.

By God’s grace, we will continue to serve and speak for our people as we move Forward Together.

Today, I joined the people of Asaba to celebrate the second anniversary of the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, at the Asagba Palace.

In just two years, His Royal Majesty has brought remarkable transformation to the palace while redefining traditional leadership through service, peacebuilding and tangible interventions that touch lives.

From healthcare and education to youth development and community peace, the Asagba has demonstrated that traditional institutions can play a vital role in improving the wellbeing of our people.

I commend His Royal Majesty for his humility, vision and commitment to the people of Asaba. May God continue to grant him wisdom, strength and grace to lead the Asaba Kingdom to greater heights.

As Nigeria marks her 66th Independence Anniversary, we are reminded that nation-building is a responsibility we all share.

Our journey has not been without challenges, but our strength lies in our resilience, our diversity and our shared belief in a better Nigeria. We must continue to build a nation where every generation has the opportunity to thrive and where the sacrifices we make today secure a better tomorrow.

The road ahead requires unity, courage and a commitment to the Nigeria we desire. There is much work to be done, but together, we can move our nation forward.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

What binds us is greater than what separates us. Our shared heritage, communities and aspirations give us a common responsibility to build a future that reflects the hopes of every part of Delta North.

With unity of purpose and a clear sense of responsibility, we can turn our shared aspirations into meaningful progress for our people.

Let us move Forward Together. Maka Ọganihu Anioma.

I was honoured to join the Diocese of Ozoro at its First Synod, centred on the theme, “Let Us Rise Up and Build.”

I challenged the Church to look beyond buildings and focus on building lives, families and communities through faith, unity and service.

As Nehemiah reminded us, the work belongs to all of us. Together, with prayer, purpose and commitment, we can build a stronger Church and a better society.

May God strengthen the Diocese of Ozoro as we rise and build together.

I was pleased to engage with the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) and other stakeholders at this important interactive session to listen to the aspirations and concerns of our people and discuss the issues that matter most to our communities.

For me, meaningful representation begins with listening. Our people must have the opportunity to speak, share their aspirations and contribute to the conversations that shape their future.

I remain committed to dialogue, unity and collective action as we work together to advance the interests and development of the Ndokwa people. The work ahead is significant, and by listening to one another and working across communities, we can turn our shared aspirations into meaningful progress.

Every voice matters. Every group has a place in our shared journey. Together, we will listen, deliberate, and act with a common purpose, ensuring that every community is heard, every interest is respected, and our people have the strong and effective representation they deserve.

We cannot move forward as individuals. We must rise together, stand together, and advance together, as one people with one shared purpose.

Yesterday, I joined the Diocese of Ika (Anglican Communion) at the Ika Vision 2032 Endowment Fund Launch, a bold seven-year initiative aimed at strengthening the Church and advancing the social and economic development of Ika Nation.

In my remarks, I emphasised that the future of our nation depends greatly on the values we instil in our young people. The Church, traditional institutions, parents, and the wider community all have a responsibility to shape their minds, strengthen their values, and channel their energy and potential towards positive and productive purposes.

I commend Rt. Rev. Godfrey Ifeanyiichukwu Ekpen*si, the Diocese of Ika, and all those behind this vision for their commitment to building a stronger future for our people. With collective responsibility and sustained commitment, we can build an Ika Nation that future generations will be proud to inherit.

A few months ago, we began a new chapter, one rooted in service, representation, and a shared vision for a better future for the people of Delta North Senatorial District.

With the benefit of experience, a deep understanding of the needs of our people, and a firm belief in what we can achieve together, I remain committed to promoting the interest of our senatorial district and contributing to its growth and development.

I invite you to join me as we move forward with a renewed purpose, unity, and a commitment to building a Delta North where everyone has a place in our collective progress. There is much work ahead, and it’ll require all of us.

Makà oganihu Anioma.

Let us move forward together.
