David was one man who understood exactly what it means to be hunted for, what it means to be surrounded by enemies left, right, centre. David understood perfectly well what it means to seek refuge to hide from those pursuing after you and he would rise up early in the morning and pray a prayer for protection.

The content of this scripture goes to show how we can connect with God and find refuge in him. Jesus is the solid on which we can find refuge and rest. You will no longer be anxious for anything because the master and the owner of the universe is your refuge. Psalm 110 vs 1 reads "the Lord says to my Lord, sit at my feet until i make your enemies your footstool "what an assurance? What else would we crave for as children of God? What else should give us more joy than the fact that we know that God is our refuge? We should sing joyfully because we know he is always there. We should dance without caution because we know he is our refuge, a strong tower. God is still in the business of protecting His own. He still beckons on you to come unto him, all who labour and are of heavy laden.
