We thank God for the successful inaugural meeting of the House Committee on National Security and Intelligence held on 1st November, 2023 at the National Assembly Abuja. Sitting by my left is the Committee Chairman Rt. Hon Ahmed Satome. The job has just begun.

Earlier today, I was physically present at the Country home of the Labour Party Women leader of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area to pay my last respect to her deceased husband who was buried today. Recall that I have earlier commiserated with the family when the news of his death broke out and promised to be present during the burial.
Mrs Asogwa is a committed party member and deserves all the honour and sacrifices.
We continue to pray for the family and peaceful repose of her dear husband.

Today is a special day as we join in celebrating the birthday of Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the
Speaker of the 10th House of Representative. This milestone not only marks the passing of another year but also presents an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional qualities and remarkable leadership that our esteemed speaker of the house possesses. As I extend my best wishes, I recognize his invaluable contributions to our nation and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas exemplifies the traits of a committed and forward-thinking leader. He has constantly displayed intellectual prowess, honesty, and an unrelenting commitment to serving the Nigerian people throughout his career as a successful legislator and public servant. It is very admirable how he can negotiate the complicated political environments and find common ground for the greater good.

Abbas' long-standing commitment to democratic ideas reflects in his unwavering advocacy for inclusive governance and the protection of citizens’ rights. As the speaker of House of Representatives he has been an unwavering advocate for the rule of law, social justice, and equal opportunity, consistently striving to bridge the gap between the government and the people.

One of Rt. Hon. Abbas most commendable qualities is his genuine empathy and concern for the well-being of Nigerians from all walks of life. Recognizing the diverse needs of our nation, he has tirelessly championed policies and initiatives aimed at job creation, poverty alleviation, and sustainable economic growth. His tireless efforts towards nation-building are truly commendable and serve as an inspiration to all.

As the Speaker of the 10th National Assembly, Abbas has proven himself to be an exceptional strategist and collaborator, constantly working towards synergy among governmental bodies to achieve sustainable development and progress. His ability to foster unity and cooperation within various arms of government has started yielding results in efficient decision-making processes and impactful policy implementation.

Looking ahead, as Rt. Hon. Abba celebrates this significant occasion, it is important to recognize his contributions to the advancement of the country and to honor him for his commitment to the Nigerian people. Earlier today, I visited my elder brother and friend, the Minister of Science and Technology Honorable Uche Nnaji.
High point of our discussion is legislative cm executive synergy for the development of our Enugu State and Nigeria at large. Our political differences is never a barrier.

I thank God Almighty for the victory He gave us today. It is proof that the just shall live by faith.

I pledge to you my people, that for bringing me this far, I will never let you down; neither will I relent in my pursuit of peace, justice, and equity for all.

Affirmation of the people's victory!

It's with joy and profound gratitude to God almighty that I accept the landmark tribunal judgement which re-affirmed me as the rightful winner of Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-uwani Federal constituency.
I am specially greatful to the 3-men panel of judges for not allowing the will of the people to be thwarted despite the obvious pressure, intimidation and subjugation. You have proven that the hallowed house of justice is indeed the last hope of the common man like me.
And to my legal team who stood tall to defend and uphold this my God's given mandate, I am highly indebted to you. You have distinguished your selves and written your names in gold.
My dear people of Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal constituency, I say congratulations to you all because you have won again!. The mandate and confidence you reposed on me as your representative during the last general election have been re-affirmed and re-confirmed at the tribunal to the glory of God. I shall not let you down!
Many thanks to everyone who stood by us and for your prayers.
I want to also appreciate my brother and predecessor, Dr Mathins Oke for using the constitutional means to seek redress amidst his dissatisfaction with the outcome of the election. My dear brother, elections have come and gone! This is the time to deliver quality representation to our people. Your experience and brotherly advice will be most needed by our people at this time. I therefore call on you and all well meaning sons and daughters of Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-uwani Federal to come join hands with me to develop our place and empower our people.

I was represented by my P.A. at the wedding of Uchenna Ozo who is from Umuezike, Aku, under Igbo-etiti LGA.

Uche is a very hardworking and dedicated son of the soil who is based here in Abuja. He identified with me and pledged to support the Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani constituency to the best of his ability. He is keen on bringing growth to the people at the grassroots in our constituency. If not for my busy schedule I would have been present at his wedding. I, however, sent representatives who went on my behalf. I was pleased when I was informed that the ceremony was a success.
I pray that God will bless his new home, satisfy him and his new bride with the fruit of the womb; and provide for the family according to his riches in glory.

He sent a humble gift to show his appreciation for my support which I received with joy.
