AFRICAN ACTION CONGRESS (AAC) PRESS RELEASE: FALSE REPORTS OF A NATIONAL CONVENTION
It has come to the attention of the African Action Congress that criminal actors have concluded plans to stage a “convention” in the name of the party tomorrow, the 9th August, 2019. The AAC issues this as a formal notice to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); to all party faithful; to all press houses; and to the general public that no such gathering has been planned or sanctioned by the AAC; and any such gatherings in the name of the party are baseless, criminal and motivated by mischief.
This criminal effort is purportedly led by one Leonard Nzenwa, who was recently expelled by the National Executive Committee of the party in a well-attended emergency meeting on the 27th of July 2019. Time and again, this unsavory criminal character has shown he will seek any opportunity for financial gain, including attempting to hijack this great party. In his usual myopic manner, he may have believed that the events of the last few days has presented an avenue for his nefarious ambitions, but, as is usually the case with Mr. Nzenwa, he is wrong. It is impossible for a reviled individual to foist themselves on a democratic political party, and impossible for an expelled member to hold a convention.
The African Action Congress therefore issues a call to the police and security agencies for the arrest of Mr. Leonard Nzenwa and his criminal actors, and calls on the general public to dissociate themselves with any actions of this expunged delinquent.

We just Got information that a group of SARS officials allegedly from Ogui Police Command, Nigeria Police Force Enugu State Command raids a FAMOUS students hostel in NKPONKITI, NEW LAYOUT ENUGU popularly called Arresting (massively and indiscriminately) Unsuspecting innocent students from Imt Enugu, ESUT to mention but a few lodging in the said students hostel, thereby provoking fear, panic and sense of Insecurity in our fellow Nigerian Students.
We are informed that they go room to room arresting every unsuspecting student coming out from their respective rooms. This is not the first time such arrest is raided on Oceanic hostel and other hostels around the area. We understand that the members of the police should do their job, but, we equally understand that part of job of the police does not include making the city of Enugu state hostile to Nigerian students in Enugu state. As we file this report, students in the said hostel are running helter skelter looking for where to sleep to night to avoid unnecessary arrest that might lead to their being detained or be distracted in their various academic endeavours.
We therefore, make it categorically clear that Nigerian students cannot be intimidated in a country of their. We Shall be forced to resist any attempt to make law abiding students in Enugu feel uncomfortable.
We therefore employ the national body of , Enugu State Police Commision and Enugu Ogui Police Cammand Unit, Enugu State Government to investigate this situation and hault it before it amounts uncontrollable mass resistance gets out of hand.
Mass Arrest Is Not An Intelligence Service... Whatever happens to secret investigation tactics, if there is actually a situation to be investigated.
