Introducing The Health Shield Initiative (HSI) 🛡️🩺
I am proud to formally announce the launch of The Health Shield Initiative (HSI).
As a Public Health Advocate and postgraduate scholar, I am dedicating my research and effort to a vital mission:
Primary Prevention:
In a world of rising health risks and substance misuse, the most effective tool we have is a "Shield" of knowledge and proactive wellness.
HSI is a professional advocacy framework designed to protect the well-being of our community.
children and adults alike.
We focus on:
🛡️ Risk Mitigation: Identifying and stopping health threats before they start.
📊 Health Literacy: Giving everyone simple, scientific tools to stay healthy.
🚀 Strategic Advocacy: Building a future where wellness is the standard, not the exception.
As I progress, my goal is to bridge the gap between academic and the real-world safety of our people. From schools to community centers, we are deploying the Health Shield to ensure that every individual has the power to protect their life and potential.
🚀 CALL TO ACTION
Workshops: If you lead a school, church, or organization, I am available for speaking engagements and health sessions.
Referrals: If you know a community that needs this "Shield," please connect us.
Support: Follow my journey as we move from awareness to action.
Let’s connect and protect our future. We move! 📈🚀

Day 8: Appreciating God for My Birthday 🙏
Today is very special as I continue my birthday gratitude journey, and it also coincides with International Women’s Day.
I thank God for the gift of life, good health, and the opportunity to keep learning, growing, and contributing to society.
Today, I celebrate the strength, resilience, and courage of women everywhere. Women are not only mothers and caregivers, they are also leaders, change makers, and pillars of healthier communities.
As we celebrate women today, let us also remember the importance of prioritizing women’s health — regular health checks, mental well-being, proper nutrition, and supporting one another.
When women are healthy and empowered, families and communities become stronger.
Happy International Women’s Day to every amazing woman out there. Keep shining and keep making a difference. 💜🌸

Day 6: Wash your hands regularly to prevent infections

🩺 31 DAYS OF HEALTH WITH EDIRIN
Day 6 of appreciating God
Day 6 -The Power of Hand washing
Health Tip: Wash your hands regularly.
Handwashing is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections and diseases. Many germs that cause illnesses such as diarrhea, flu, and other infections are spread through unclean hands.
We touch many surfaces every day, door handles, phones, money, and public spaces. When we touch our eyes, nose, or mouth without washing our hands, germs can easily enter our bodies.
Wash your hands with soap and clean water regularly
Wash your hands before eating and after using the toilet
Wash your hands after touching dirty surfaces
Teach children the
importance of proper handwashing
Clean hands save lives and protect our families and communities.
Stay healthy. Prevention is better than cure.

Behind Every Headline Is a Human Being 💔
The recent news of a pastor’s alleged su***de following the resurfacing of a past scandal is a painful reminder of something we often forget — public figures are human beings first.
In Nigeria, mental health is still highly stigmatized. Many people suffer in silence because they fear judgment, rejection, or disgrace. When public shame, online criticism, and societal expectations collide, the emotional weight can become unbearable.
Social media can amplify mistakes. It can magnify rumors. It can destroy reputations in hours. But we must remember — words have consequences. Shares have consequences. Comments have consequences.
Su***de is not just a personal tragedy.
It affects families.
It traumatizes children.
It leaves communities grieving.
It exposes the gaps in our mental health support systems.
As a society, we must,
Verify information before spreading it
Stop online shaming and cyberbullying
Encourage seeking help without stigma
Create safe spaces
for emotional support
No matter a person’s position — pastor, lecturer, doctor, politician — everyone has a breaking point.
Let us choose compassion over condemnation.
Let us promote mental health awareness.
Let us remember that behind every headline is a human being.
