The ISGPP hopes to help in filling crucial skills gap in leadership training and public administration within the country of its location and across the entire continent of Africa. Through its training and programmes, ISGPP hopes to enable trainees to appreciate the central importance of public administration and public policy, their decisive impact on people’s lives and the possibility of actualising development objectives. Thus, the ISGPP aspires to enable its graduates to engage in deep and eclectic thinking in tackling the complex range of problems of government, governance, public policy and administration toward devising sound and creative solutions to them. The driving objective of ISGPP is the training and production of first-rate leaders and public administrators with the intellectual capacity and administrative acumen, and the political imagination to formulate high quality public policies and programmes that can make development goals easily realisable. It also involves imbuing them with the ethical orientation and commitment for just and equitable implementation. ISGPP is conceived and born of a mind-set to intervene in society by arming leaders and policy makers with the required ideas, appropriate skills, and the inspired will to make knowledge relevant to society. It is also part of its driving commitment to engage in research, consultancy, public education and publication.
