AYOBO-IPAJA LCDA CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY WITH Dr. AGBAJE LUKMAN ABIODUN, CHAMPIONS JOY, CURIOSITY & BRILLIANCE OF EVERY CHILD

The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Dr. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun ably represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ahmad Yusuf and the Chairperson Mrs Agbaje Bilikis Iyabo, also represented by Mrs Oladele led a colourful and inspiring Children’s Day celebration which took place on the 30th of May 2026 at Community Primary School ipaja, brought smiles, laughter, and renewed hope to pupils and teachers from various primary and secondary schools in the community.
The event, themed "Celebrating the Joy, Curiosity and Brilliance of Every Child", underscored the administration’s unwavering commitment to child development, quality education, and the creation of a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

In the Executive Chairman's speech, read by the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Olufunke Adekanye, he emphasized that children are the foundation of society’s future and must be supported with love, opportunity, and access to quality education in a safe environment where every child can grow without fear. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication in investing greatly in the educational development of children and youths in the community and also improve learning infrastructure, promoting child-friendly policies, and ensuring that no child is left behind.

The school grounds came alive with different activities like match past, cultural displays, choreography that highlighted the talents and creativity of the pupils.

The celebration featured the presentation of prizes to winners of the various activities displayed at the event. As Community Senior Grammar School emerged winner at match past, Community came top at choreography and St. George's as winner in cultural display.

The celebration aligns with Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA’s ongoing initiatives in education, and child protection aimed at giving every child equal opportunity to thrive. and reinforcing the LCDA’s vision of raising confident, educated, and responsible future leaders.

Present at the event were: Representative of the Executive Secretary, Mr Sowemimo Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Rachael Adeyinka, Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon. Tayo, management staff, event sponsors like Multi concern golden treasure, Shola foods, My Co 3in1 tea.

AYOBO-IPAJA LCDA INTENSIFIES ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE FOR A CLEANER AND HEALTHIER COMMUNITY

The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Lukman Abiodun Agbaje, alongside the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Olabode, members of the Executive Cabinet, Management Team, and Council staff, recently carried out an extensive environmental sanitation exercise across the LCDA.

The exercise was aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness, preventing the spread of diseases, and encouraging residents to maintain a healthy and sustainable environment. During the operation, the council leadership monitored various communities, markets, streets, and public spaces to ensure compliance with environmental sanitation regulations.

Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Lukman Abiodun Agbaje emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in keeping the environment clean. He urged residents of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA to actively participate in sanitation activities and properly dispose of waste to prevent environmental hazards.

The Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Olabode, reiterated the council's commitment to environmental sustainability and assured residents that regular monitoring and sanitation exercises would continue to ensure a cleaner and healthier community.

The environmental exercise also witnessed the active participation of all cabinet members and the management team of the LCDA, demonstrating the administration's dedication to improving the living conditions of residents and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA remains committed to ensuring that all residents enjoy a safe, clean, and healthy environment. The council therefore calls on community leaders, market associations, youth groups, and residents to support ongoing environmental initiatives for the overall development of the local government area.
