With a heart full of gratitude to God, I am deeply honoured to have been formally invested as a State Patron of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Plateau State Council.
The investiture, held on Sunday, 13th September 2026, at the Plateau Chapel of Grace, Government House, Rayfield, Jos, was a significant and humbling moment for me. I was privileged to receive this honour alongside distinguished personalities including Prof. Tanko Ishaya, Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos; Hon. Ephraim Usman Gar, Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Plateau State; Dr. Pokop Bupwatda, Chief Medical Director of JUTH; and Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut, Head of National Office, WAEC Nigeria.
I do not take this recognition lightly. For me, it represents much more than an honour; it is a call to deeper service, particularly in supporting the growth, discipline, character and development of young people.
I remain convinced that the future of our society will be shaped by the values we instil in the next generation, the opportunities we create for them and the examples we set through service and leadership.
I am especially grateful to my wife, Mrs. Faith Gwott, and family, whose support, encouragement, and sacrifices continue to strengthen me in every responsibility I undertake. Having them present to share this moment made the occasion even more meaningful.
I also sincerely appreciate the leadership of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Plateau State Council, for finding me worthy of this responsibility, as well as my friends, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers who joined my family and me in celebrating this milestone.
As I take on this responsibility, I do so with humility and a renewed commitment. May God grant me the wisdom, strength, and grace to serve faithfully.
