HERE COMES THE BRIDGE BUILDER FOR GOVERNOR ON THE PLATEAU 2023
In any given society, nothing can escalate misunderstanding faster than the lack of effective Communication, mutual Trust and Confidence. Ignorance creates and exacerbates fears and anxiety. Misunderstanding accumulate and builds up stereotypes and barriers such that even the best of intentions are wrongly misinterpreted to mean ulterior motive.
However, Bridge builders create and foster enduring relationships that cut across the lines of divides and conflicts. They forge ties across borders, cultures, religions, political affiliations etc. The bridge builder sees our diversity as a strength and not a weakness, a blessing not a curse and an opportunity not an obstacle.
The 3 R's of Chief Dr Amos Yaduksu Gizo seeks to address and perhaps wipe out all that have affected us adversely on the Plateau, thereby threatening and eroding the hitherto peaceful coexistence and socio-economic potentials of our people. Our trade mark of Home of Peace and Tourism seems to be an illusion today than a reality. So, for us to reclaim our pride of place, reposition and rediscover the Plateau of our dream, it is imperative that we need a bridge builder that can lead us to the path of healing, reconciliation and restoration of the glory days of pre 2001 where peaceful coexistence, economic viability, development was the watchword.
" Show me a man that loves and impacts his roots and I will show you a leader that can build a nation"
Elsie Williams
The 3 R's of Chief Gizo is his passionate agenda to
- REDEFINE
- RECONSTRUCT
- RESTORE all in retrospect.
- Redefining who we are and what we stand for as Plateau people would take us back to our drawing board and retrospectively self- assess and evaluate our performance and the journey so far. Reappraising where we all did well, need to improve, missed it and lost it on the Plateau using the modern world technology as well as our strengths and weaknesses towards improvement in every sphere of our existence.
- Reconstruction seeks to pursue the mental, physical, social , emotional and cultural re-orientation of our people to live not only as law abiding citizens, but also as people with shared values, norms, mutual love and respect for one another thereby building a strong and egalitarian society where all Plateau residents are given equal opportunities, rights and privileges. This is because actualizing the reconstruction of the Plateau of our dream requires the collective contribution of all and sundry. Especially the robust engagement and inclusion of our vibrant youths in government policy must receive priority attention so as to re-channel their restiveness and exuberant assets into productive use.
- To Restore the potential and identity of the Plateau requires constructive engagement of critical stakeholders: technocrats, intellectuals, elderstatesmen leaders of thoughts, traditional institution, religious bodies who will be involved in the restoration process.Restoration of physical infrastructures, lost values and moral rectitude is key to our growth and development as a people with common aspiration and shared ideology.
Chief Dr Amos Yaduksu Gizo is not just a gubernatorial aspirant but well informed grassroot politician , God fearing , a father with a passion for continuity and good governance who's primary concern is the total wellbeing of the people with the view of leaving behind a mark written in gold and a legacy that will speak in generations to come.
