The Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani CON paid a working visit to the National Sports Commission where he was received by the NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko and other senior officials of the Commission.

The visit served as an avenue to synchronise sports development initiatives and policies between the Kaduna State Government and the Federal Government, in line with the Renewed Hope Initiative for Nigeria’s Sports Economy.

Highlight of the visit was the finalisation agreement on the transfer of ownership of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium to the Kaduna State Government.

Governor assured that the total reconstruction of Ahmadu Bello Stadium is in accordance with International FIFA Standards. He pledged to work diligently with the to achieve a Sports Rebirth mission in Kaduna, and sustain the agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards making sports a major contributor to Nigeria’s GDP.

On his part, the Chairman National Sports Commission , Mallam Shehu Dikko commended the Kaduna State Governor for his foresight and commitment to implementing a comprehensive Sports Rebirth Program in Kaduna State, assuring the Kaduna State Government of the NSC’s full support in achieving targeted development in the Sports Sector.

The Governor of Kaduna State, H.E Senator Uba Sani CON received the Chairmen and members of the APC Congress, Screening, and Appeal Committees to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House for the presentation of reports on Kaduna State’s recently concluded Local Government and Ward Congresses.

The committees confirmed that the congresses complied fully with party guidelines, resulting in the emergence of delegates and other executives at various levels. They also commended the Governor for the peaceful atmosphere and ongoing developmental strides across the state.

“In a short but defining period as Managing Director/CEO of the Kaduna Mining Development Company (KMDC), we moved from vision to structure, from intent to ex*****on.

Within months, we were able to:

-Reposition KMDC from a passive asset holder to an active investment and project development vehicle
-Initiate strategic engagements with credible local and international investors
-Strengthen regulatory alignment and licensing pathways
-Structure commercially viable mining opportunities
-Build a transparent governance and operational framework for long-term sustainability
-Restore investor confidence in Kaduna’s solid minerals ecosystem

Most notably, we improved KMDC’s revenue performance from approximately 1% (2024) to over 47% (2025) and a 120% projection for 2026; demonstrating that with discipline, structure and accountability, state-owned enterprises can transition from symbolic entities to commercially viable institutions. This shift was not accidental but a result of strategic restructuring, tighter operational controls and investor-driven ex*****on.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering confidence of His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani, a leader whose clarity of purpose and reform-driven mindset earned him the reputation of identifying and deploying solutions where they are most needed. I remain profoundly grateful for the trust he has consistently placed in me; from serving as Senior Special Assistant on ICT, to Managing Director/ Chief Executive of KMDC, and now Special Adviser on Students Matters. Such confidence reflects not only leadership foresight but a belief in versatility, adaptability and results-driven public service. I do not take that trust lightly.

KADUNA UPDATE: At the commencement of the Kaduna State Executive Council Meeting, Council congratulated H.E Senator Uba Sani CON on the recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director General in charge of party outreach, engagement, and mobilisation.

Similarly, Council acknowledged the giant strides of the Kaduna State Government in Infrastructure, Healthcare, Education and Human Capital Development which led to Governor Uba Sani being awarded by Newspapers as the Best Governor of the Year 2025.

RIGASA DEVELOPMENT: Uba Sani personally hands over compensation cheques to affected 189 households.

…pledges timely completion of the Rigasa Township Road Network which are designed to “unlock commerce and shorten distances between aspiration and opportunity”

The Governor of Kaduna State, H.E Senator Uba Sani CON visited Rigasa Community in Igabi Local Government to personally oversee the payment of monetary compensation to 189 households/families affected by the ongoing road construction projects in Rigasa.

The roads being constructed include Makera Road, Lokoja Road, Ado Gwaram Road, and the Asmau Makarfi Spur. While delivering his speech, Gov Uba Sani assured the people of his administration’s commitment to uphold their dignity and preserve their human rights through adequate and fair compensation to all affected families.

Across Kaduna State, the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani have been paying compensations across project corridors such as in Mahuta, Magajiya to Albarkawa, Audi to Kako, Dogon Bauchi to Kakiyeyi, and Kabala Costain; bringing total compensation to approximately ₦2.85 billion.
