Covering the Nation and bringing it's services close to the people, the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) commissioned another befitting Zonal office in Kano recently.

The Zone 1 office is in charge of Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, and Plateau States and is one of many zonal offices commissioned recently by the Board. In his speech, the Acting Registrar Professor Muhammad Shafi'u Abdullahi, stressed that NBAIS is making efforts in establishing offices in all the States in Nigeria, and so far the Board is able to have sufficient number at various states.

The new Kano Zonal Office was commissioned by His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in a company of His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero and representative of the Minister of Education.

The building houses Administration and Operational Staff at the Kano Zone, who were over the years stayed at a temporary building. The commissioning is a remarkable achievement made to secure a permanent structure for the staff to work in an enabling environment. The Kano State commissioner of Education while making his remarks has assured the Board of their commitment to facilitate for a bigger land size for NBAIS to bring another structure for Kano State Office of the Board.

The Bauchi State acting desk officer Mal. Abdulrashid Abdulkadir had an exclusive interview with Bauchi State Television (BATV) and he spoke on several burning issues about NBAIS. Issues discussed includes, establishement Act which is ongoing at the National Assembly, Activities of the board, Achievements and Obstacles and indeed schools NBAIS covered in Bauchi state.

The Registrar, National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) Prof. Muhammad Shafi'u Abdullahi attending the Second Almajiri National Conference, that took place in Lafiya, Nasarawa State, organized by Almajiri Foundation Nassarawa State chapter.
However, Hon. Balarabe Kakale was not let behind in gracing the occasion who is a Member House of Representatives from Sokoto State committee on education, and also a Member committee on NBAIS Bill. may Allah continue to uplift the Board to the higher level.

The minister of education Malam Adamu Adamu has applauded the commitment of the Acting Registrar of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies NBAIS Professor Mohammad Shafi’u Abdullahi and his Management team for providing adequate infrastructure in Zonal and state offices of the agency.

Malam Adamu Adamu stated this during the commissioning of the new building of the Kano state zonal office of NBAIS, held in Kano.

The minister who was Represented by the Director of Quality Assurance in the Ministry Malam Hussaini Abdullahi said providing befitting office accommodation will boost the morale of the staff, which will enhance effective service delivery.

He commended the commitment and foresight of the leadership of the agency for utilizing the agency’s resources and urged the staff to reciprocate the gesture by being dedicated and committed to their assigned responsibilities.

In his remark, the Acting Registrar of NBAIS professor Mohammad Shafi’u Abdullahi said the new building of the zonal office in kano was geared toward providing a conducive working atmosphere of the staff.

He said Kano Zone 1 office was in charge of four states which includes kano, jigawa, Kaduna, and plateau states.

” The aim is to make it easy for our staff under the zone to concentrate more on these four state’s so that the stated goals will be achieved.”

Professor Mohammad Shafi’u Abdullahi added that the agency would not relent in ensuring adequate welfare, training and retraining of staff, to achieve effective service delivery.

Earlier the Zonal Coordinator of NBAIS Zone 1 Kano Malam Babangida Na’iya said the new office accommodation of the zonal office would play a vital role in ensuring effective service delivery.

The ceremony was graced by representatives of kano state governor , Emir of kano, and the Executive chairman Nigeria Universities commission.

National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) extend distance learning to NBAIS.

Leading NOUN delegation on a courtesy visit to the Board, it's Director, Yusuf Abdullahi highlights some NOUN activities in the Area of distance learning and how NBAIS staff can be benefited as both institutions shares premises.

In his response, NBAIS Registrar, Professor Muhammad Shafi'u Abdullahi Expressed his appreciation and direct Human Resources Department to engage NOUN in discussing how staff can leverage the gesture.
