The aspiration of Hon. Samuel Isa Shamaki to contest for the position of the executive chairman of Sanga Local government under the platform of the great Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was affirmed and confirmed by the leadership of the PDP today in Gwantu.

Now that the coast is clear, in our quest for Peace and stability, security and rapid socioeconomic transformation of our dear local government, let us all endeavor to support and stand with those seeking to represent under the platform of the PDP in the upcoming June 5th 2021 local government council elections.

2018 NIGERIA'S DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE. BY HON. HONOURABLE SAMUEL ISA SHAMAKI.

My good people of Sanga local government I join you today to celebrate this 2018 Democracy Day. All glory be to our creator for his love and protection over our lives.

I want to use this opportunity to again appreciate those who have stood up to defend the priceless gift of democracy in Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State and all over our country.

To those who were maimed, brutalized and abused, to those who paid the supreme price, may your soul continue to rest peace and may your labour never be in vain.

Like the title of the message "RENEWING OUR COMMITMENT TO BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE DEMOCRACY".

Today is another day of sober reflections and thinking it is obvious that our efforts and that of some of our past leaders in building a strong institutions for our democracy to thrive and our country to progress is threatened.

After 19 years of democracy, its glaring that what we have now is militarized form of democracy". Our once nascent democracy has refuse to grow, yet some undemocratic persons are bend on having it their own way.

These are trying moments for us all but can unite,set for ourselves standards, make plans and stick to these standards to defend what is left of our democracy and to build formidable and strong institutions.

Let us not be deterred by what we face today as difficult roads always lead to glorious destinations. We must see hope amidst our adversaries and learn to stand tall in the face of tyranny and bad governance, we must preserve the sanctity of our democracy to show the rest of the world we are ready for good governance and progress.

We must learn to submit to the powers of the ballot and show it efficacy over the bullet.
It is my our craving that the people of Sanga local Government in no distant time will retrieve their stolen mandate and again enjoy the benefits of democracy. But this wishes can't be actualize without you all.

Finally I will like to end by saying we may have lost our past, we may have been struggling with the exigencies of our time but we must not seat back to see our future crashing and burning in our time we must stand firm in the face of all these pains.

Conceding defeat is a big task to behold. I am truly overwhelm that at the end peace prevailed in the whole exercise.

Political differences kept us apart but we remain brothers and sisters.

Be assured that we will all assiduously work together in making Sanga great again.

We dedicate yesterday's victory to God Almighty and to you all that made it possible. I appeal to you to all again to come out in mass to the local government Secretariat in Gwantu now and protect your votes.

Don’t vote for us or any other politician because of where we come from but because we can get the job done. Governance is about capacity not sentiments.

TO SANGA YOUTHS:

In few months from now, all local governments in Kaduna state will head to the poll to elect new set of leaders that will govern us at all the Grassroot levels.

We can’t afford to enter this next phase of our life, a divided local government
It’s time to heal the wounds that divide us as citizens of Sanga local government.
We must see ourselves as one people under one God.

We are not defined by our tribe, religion, social class or political affiliation.
We are defined by our shared humanity and common resolve for a prosperous and progressive Sanga local government.

It breaks my heart to see young Sangarians that ought to be united and pushing for a common goal, divided along party, ethno -religious, and tribal lines.

If older politicians are united, why can’t we the younger ones be united?
It’s time for us to resist the politics of divide and rule, Let's us collectively work for the Sanga local government of our dreams.

‪Stop the hate and insults. We can do better.‬.

I visited a family who lost a loved one some weeks ago, was a terrible feeling. Children without parents. I left the place with a decision. I will ensure, at least, an orphanage in the Local Government where the fatherless and the motherless, especially those orphaned by the scourge of HIV/AIDS can be catered for. These orphans would be properly fed and sent to school.

Anytime my mom sees me, the question is "have you fed the hungry children and orphans walking down the streets"? One of my greatest lessons in life.

I was overwhelmed by receiving so much attention for my birthday and would like to thank each and every one of you so much for your kind greetings and blessings. I'm sure that with all these wishes, it will become a great year. Thank you.
