Jonathan 2027: Turaki-led PDP vows to resist intimidation

The Tanimu Turaki-led Interim National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says it will resist an attempt aimed at intimidating it.

It said no intimidation would detract the party from ratifying former President Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The Office of the Youth Ambassador, under the leadership of Ambassador Ali Muhammad Idris, Sardaunan Matasa, wishes to wholeheartedly congratulate the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on the successful emergence and endorsement of His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as the party’s presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2027 General Election.

As patriotic stakeholders and committed supporters of democratic values, we respectfully accept the decision and collective resolution of the party in presenting a leader whose experience, statesmanship, humility, and dedication to national unity continue to inspire millions of Nigerians across all regions and generations.

Though aspirations and ambitions may arise in the spirit of service to our dear nation, the unity, progress, and stability of the People’s Democratic Party remain paramount above every individual interest. In this regard, we reaffirm our loyalty, solidarity, and total support to the party and to the candidacy of His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

We strongly believe that his wealth of leadership experience, commitment to peace, and passion for national development position him as a credible and capable leader who can steer Nigeria toward renewed hope, prosperity, and inclusive governance.
