In practical terms, The APC structure that realign with His Excellency today. In previous years, several of them including His Excellency himself, were entirely united under the leadership of Jagora Kwankwaso.
Historically, Jagora Kwankwaso built a broad political structure in Kano. Many of the key politicians, grassroots mobilizers, and loyal supporters who later found themselves in APC today were once part of the Kwankwasiyya followership, either directly or indirectly. Their political ideology, style of mobilization, and even their voter base were shaped by Kwankwaso’s influence as a national leader.
This explains why, when you look closely, you still see familiar faces, shared histories, and overlapping interests between APC and NNPP camps in Kano. The divisions are more about timing, strategy, and personal interests than about deep ideological differences.
In politics, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests. Based on this reality, it is entirely possible, and even likely, this shows us that there is a possibility of reuniting with our brothers who have chosen to follow Jagora Kwankwaso “Yan (Wahala bata kisa) in the future, lols.
