‎Nigeria Network of NGOs is now accepting applications for the 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 – 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁.

‎This 𝟭𝟮-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 supports experienced journalists to produce well-researched, evidence-based stories on civic space, human rights, and the work of civil society organisations.
‎The program focuses on three focal geopolitical zones: North East, South West, and South East - to capture a diverse range of challenges including post-conflict recovery, media repression, and regional marginalization.
‎
‎𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
‎🟦 Capacity Building: A mandatory 5-day hybrid workshop (2 days in-person, 3 days virtual) featuring facilitators from global expert organizations like ICNL and EU-SEE.
‎🟦 Sustained Support: A monthly stipend of 100,000 naira paid upon editorial sign-off and publication of deliverables.
‎🟦 Professional Mentorship: Direct access to an internal editorial team and global civil society actors for story development and fact-checking.
‎🟦 Visibility: Reproduction of stories across popular blogs, the NNNGO website, and international partner newsrooms.

‎𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮
‎🟦 Professional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in print, broadcast, or digital journalism.
‎🟦 Institutional Support: Applicants must demonstrate commitment from their newsroom or media affiliation to publish or broadcast the fellowship's stories.
‎🟦 Geographic Focus: Residence or professional practice in the North East, South West, or South East geopolitical zones.
‎🟦 Thematic Interest: A strong interest in reporting on civic space, human rights, and 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗙𝗜𝗠𝗜).

‎🟦 Complete the mandatory 5-day training workshop.
‎🟦 Maintain a 10-month continuous reporting cycle.
‎🟦 Submit bi-weekly news updates and four (4) story plans per month for approval.
‎🟦 Produce evidence-based stories that highlight locally-led solutions and the impact of the civil society sector.
‎🟦 Participate in a final virtual summit to share learning and portfolios.

‎🟦 Three (3) work samples published within the last 12–24 months.
‎🟦 A Letter of Commitment from an editor or supervisor confirming support for publication.
‎🟦 A brief statement of interest or initial story pitches related to the focal zones.
