The endorsement was confirmed on Friday, 15th June 2026, following a strategic engagement with the founder of the foundation, King Ogunremi, on the urgent need to address the growing challenge of illicit drug abuse among Nigerian youths.

During the discussion, Cardinal Odunmbaku Cardinal Odunmbaku expressed deep concern about the increasing impact of substance abuse on the mental health, wellbeing, and future of the younger generation. KING OGUNREMI FOUNDATION ACHIEVES OFFICIAL SCUML REGISTRATION WITH EFCC

The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) is proud to announce its official registration with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, 7th May 2026.

This important milestone reflects the Foundation’s commitment to transparency, accountability, integrity, and compliance with the laws and regulations guiding non-governmental and charitable organisations in Nigeria.

The SCUML registration certifies that the King Ogunremi Foundation has been duly registered in accordance with Section 17(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, strengthening the Foundation’s credibility in community development, youth empowerment, drug abuse awareness campaigns, health intervention projects, and social impact initiatives across Nigeria.

The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) proudly announces the official appointment of Mr Oluwabunmi Afis Mogaji, popularly known as General Spanky, as the Chief of Staff of the foundation during the historic King's Barber Connect Nigeria KBCN seminar 2025 held at the Elomaz Conference Centre, Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria.

The presentation of the Certificate of Appointment was conducted by Dr Ayodele Sh*ttu, senior lecturer, Department of Economics, University of Lagos, in recognition of Mr Mogaji’s dedication, leadership, and continuous contribution to youth empowerment and community development initiatives championed by the foundation.
