ETI-OSA HERITAGE ORGANIZATION HONOURS PROF. WAZIRI ADISA WITH SURPRISE CELEBRATION
In an inspiring tale of grit and celebration, Prof. Waziri Adisa marked a significant milestone by attaining the rank of Professor of Criminology, University of Lagos, proving that dedication and perseverance remain timeless virtues in the pursuit of excellence.
The Eti-Osa Heritage Organization hosted a surprise get-together celebration in recognition of this remarkable academic achievement, drawing community leaders, professionals, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the distinguished scholar and proud son of Eti-Osa.
Speaking at the event, the Baale of Igbo-Efon, Alhaji Olukolu Tajudeen, who served as Royal Father of the Day, commended Prof. Adisaโs resilience and commitment, describing his elevation as a moment of pride for the entire community.
Chairman of the Day, Hon. Justice Dr. Rasul Oriyomi Olukolu, also lauded the celebrantโs accomplishment, emphasizing the importance of sustained excellence, scholarship, and service to society.
The event featured an award presentation to Prof. Waziri Adisa and a host of other notable indigenes of Eti-Osa who have made their marks in the development of Eti-Osa area of Lagos State in general.
Dignitaries include:, Hon. Idowu Badru (Vice Chairman, Eti-Osa Local Government), Hon. Noheem Adams ( Majority Leader Lagos State House of Assembly), Hon. Babajide Akinloye, Late Hon. Kazeem Ademola Alimi (Kadeco), and Late Mr. Ibrahim Bakare (Former Special Adviser to Hon. Minister of Works)
In his Goodwill message, the Chairman of the Lekki Estate Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), Alhaji Chief Sulaymon Bello, praised Prof. Waziri Adisa for his dedication, noting that his achievement reflects years of discipline, hard work, and commitment to excellence.
In his remarks, Prof. Waziri Adisa expressed heartfelt appreciation to Eti-Osa Heritage Organization, Eti-Osa Indigenous Studentsโ Association, Eti-Osa Indigenes Forum and Residents for the honour, reaffirming his dedication to academic advancement, mentorship, and community development.
Alhaji Mustapha Okunmoyinbo (Baale of Alasia Town), Alhaji Babatunde Kotun reiterated the organization commitment to recognizing and celebrating individuals who exemplify excellence, with the aim of inspiring future generations across Eti-Osa and beyond.

ETI-OSA INDIGENES FORUM PRAISES BALOGUN IRU 4TH EDITION EDUCATION SUPPORT
The Eti-Osa Indigenes Forum has commended the Balogun Iru Kingdom and Vice Chairman of Lagos Central Senatorial District APC, Chief Muideen Abayomi Daramola, for his commitment to educational development through the award of scholarships of #200,000 to three outstanding students.
The scholarship award ceremony, marking its fourth edition, drew commendations from stakeholders, who highlighted the importance of sustained investment in human capital development as a pathway to community transformation.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, the Chairman Indigenes Forum, Alhaji Abideen Lawal praised Chief Muideen Abayomi Daramola, describing his gesture as a strategic investment in the future of Eti-Osa and a demonstration of responsible leadership. He noted that empowering young scholars, particularly in demanding academic fields, is critical to community advancement and long-term socio-economic growth.
Beneficiaries is Afusat Folami, (a 500-level student at the University of Lagos College of Medicine), Dorcas Amore, (a 600-level student of the Lagos State University College of Medicine), and Sanni Ademola (Law Student). They were recognized for their academic excellence and dedication to their studies in the medical/Law field.
The Forum emphasized that such gestures not only alleviate financial burdens but also serve as motivation for other students within the community to strive for excellence. It further called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the initiative, thereby fostering a culture of support for education across Eti-Osa and beyond.

The Eti-Osa Indigenes Forum has praised HRM Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye, the Ojomu of Ajiran Kingdom, for awarding educational scholarships to 10 indigenous students from the Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
The Forum noted that supporting the education of young individuals is crucial for shaping their futures.
Alhaji Abideen Lawal, the chairman of the Eti-Osa Indigenes Forum, expressed this commendation during a meeting held at the Elegushi Palace, Ikate on Sunday, February 23rd, 2024.
He stated that the support provided by the king equips the beneficiaries with essential life skills, fosters critical thinking, and encourages them to explore their curiosity.
During the presentation of the cheques scholarship, Hon. Babajide Akinloye highlighted the importance of education for any nation, emphasising that it is vital for the future of the children and called for an expansion of the scholarship program to benefit more students.
Abubakar Jimoh, one of the scholarship recipients, expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture and urged affluent individuals to support students in need.
Reflecting on the various developments and growth that the Eti-Osa community has experienced in recent years, it is evident that Eti-Osa is a welcoming town.
This openness has contributed to its prosperity, and the indigenes have continually worked to enhance their community.
