The Parastatals Monitoring Office organized a 2-day sensitization programme on Medium Term Sector Strategy (MTSS) for management staff of the Office.

The engagement deepened knowledge of effective planning and budgeting, strengthened understanding of the MTSS framework, program prioritisation and performance management in line with the Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP), thereby enhancing capacity for more strategic and results oriented planning within the Office.

The meeting was chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Ayoola Aina, who emphasized the importance of collaborative planning, accountability, and result-oriented strategies in achieving the Office’s mandate and supporting sustainable governance across Lagos State Parastatals.

The Permanent Secretary, Parastatals Monitoring Office, Dr. Olugbemiga Ayoola Aina briefed the Press on the activities and achievements of the Office in the last one year under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Year 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing hosted by the Ministry of information and Strategy.

During the briefing, the Permanent Secretary presented the scorecard of the Office highlighting strategic initiatives, programmes, projects, and achievements recorded over the past year.

Parastatals Monitoring Office remains committed to ensuring that all Parastatals/Agencies and Government-Owned companies operate in line with established administrative, financial, and governance guidelines.

PMO SET FOR Y2026 INSPECTION EXERCISE ACROSS LAGOS STATE PARASTATALS

The Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), Lagos State, is set to commence its 2026 inspection exercise across Parastatals, Agencies, and Government-Owned Companies to strengthen transparency, accountability, and institutional performance.

Speaking during the training of selected inspection officers held at the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB), Magodo, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina, represented by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Kudirat Lana, emphasized that the exercise is aimed at promoting better governance, improved service delivery, and efficient management of public resources.
She noted that the inspection will help identify operational gaps, ensure compliance with government rules and standards, and support agencies in achieving higher levels of effectiveness.

Officers were charged to carry out their responsibilities with professionalism, fairness, and integrity, recognizing their vital role in advancing accountability and good governance in Lagos State.

The training also focused on financial compliance, proper record auditing, procurement guidelines, and institutional accountability.

PMO remains committed to ensuring that all government agencies operate efficiently and continue to deliver quality services to the people of Lagos State.

HONOURING EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP: PMO HOLDS VALEDICTORY FOR SPECIAL ADVISER

The Parastatals Monitoring Office today held a valedictory meeting in honour of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Parastatals Monitoring, Mr. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro, as he prepares to step aside from office.

The well-attended gathering, which took place at the Office’s Conference Room, brought together members of staff and leadership, including the Permanent Secretary, to celebrate a tenure marked by dedication, impactful leadership, and unwavering support for the achievement of the Office’s mandate.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina commended the Special Adviser for his commitment to institutional growth and service excellence, noting that his contributions have left a lasting imprint on the operations and successes of the Office.

The Management and Staff members also expressed their appreciation for his leadership, describing him as a man of integrity and goodwill whose legacy will continue to inspire.

The valedictory meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on key milestones recorded during his time in office while also extending warm wishes for success in his future endeavours.
