I had the honour of joining Rep. Babajimi Benson, MHR (Ikorodu Federal Constituency) at the Orange Day Declaration held at the Ikorodu Town Hall.

Also in attendance were Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA (Lagos East Senatorial District); Prince Abiodun Ogunleye (Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Apex Leader in Ikorodu Division); Hon. Gbolahan Adetokunbo Ogunleye (OGA), the incumbent Member representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, in the Lagos State House of Assembly, alongside other distinguished party leaders, stalwarts, and a large turnout of committed party faithful.

The event further reinforced the unity, strength, and progressive direction of our great party within Ikorodu and Lagos State at large.

A disturbing case resurfaces: a man allegedly lured his friend with a fake job offer after collecting ₦3 million, leading to a tragic outcome.

Beyond the horror, this raises serious questions about job racketeering, abuse of trust, and accountability within public institutions.
If true, justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done.

“I killed Bello, my friend, after he sent me ₦3 million to assist him in securing a job at the Federal Inland Revenue Service, where I work.
We were former colleagues at Kaduna Electricity Company from 2017 to 2024 before I resigned.

He asked how I got my job, and I told him I paid for it. He then sent me ₦3 million, and on Sunday, I invited him to meet me at Muhibba Filling Station to collect his supposed job offer.

I had already stationed some boys outside. When he arrived, we locked the door and attempted to tie him up. In the process, my hand entered his mouth and he bit me, severely injuring my finger.

One of the boys brought out a pestle and struck his legs, weakening him. We then tied his hands and legs and also hit his head twice.

The two boys later brought his car. I opened the gate for them, and we placed him in the boot. I then drove the vehicle to a garage near Bristol Palace Hotel.

I blame the devil for this.”

— Sadiq Zubairu, reportedly a tax officer with the Federal Inland Revenue Service

This incident was reported to have occurred around this time last year. Is he still in custody?

Takeaways from today’s Masterclass on Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
by the Soft Skills Team led by Pastor Toks Adetayo & Pastor Mrs. Wonuola Adetayo:

1. Purpose must be driven by wisdom, not noise; impact is not measured by volume, but by value.

2. In ministry, leadership, and public service, emotional intelligence is no longer optional; it is the bridge between influence and lasting legacy.

3. We rise not just by power, but by understanding people, managing moments, and aligning with divine direction.

4. The future belongs to those who are spiritually grounded, mentally disciplined, and strategically prepared.

5. Many ministerial, marital, political, and financial leakages stem from a deficiency in emotional intelligence.

Let’s build with vision. Lead with wisdom. Serve with integrity.

I remain,
Paul Oluwaseun Oluwatimileyin Mashote

OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF STRATEGIC WITHDRAWAL & DECLARATION OF SUPPORT

Following extensive consultations with respected leaders, critical stakeholders, and the crème de la crème within our great party, the All Progressives Congress, I have taken a well-considered, deliberate, and principled decision to voluntarily withdraw my aspiration to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 1, in the forthcoming 2027 elections.

Let me state clearly and unequivocally that this decision is not borne out of any inability, but rather a demonstration of my unflinching loyalty, discipline, and deep respect for party leadership, unity, and the well-established progressive structure that has consistently delivered victories for our party.

As committed Progressives, we recognise that the strength of our party lies not merely in individual ambition, but in collective purpose, strategic alignment, and the continuity of responsible leadership.

In this spirit, I am pleased to formally declare my full, total, and unwavering support for the re-election of a distinguished lawmaker, a humble servant-leader, and a quintessential representative of our people, Hon. Gbolahan Adetokunbo Ogunleye (OGA), for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 1.

In furtherance of this commitment, I paid a strategic visit to the OGA Constituency Office in Ikorodu, Lagos, where I was warmly received with a resounding show of unity by OGA himself, Hon. Gbolahan Adetokunbo Ogunleye, the incumbent and aspiring Member, Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA); Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Lanre Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Lagos State; Hon. Afini, former Secretary to Ikorodu Central Local Government; the Director General, OGA Campaign Organization; Hon. Kemi Arowosegbe, former Supervisor for Women Affairs, Ikorodu West; Comrade Ahmed Busari (Laluko); and other eminent leaders and stakeholders.

The engagement was highly successful, forward-looking, and unifying, reinforcing our shared commitment to the continued progress of Ikorodu Constituency 1 under the banner of our great party.

Consequently, I have, without reservation, pledged my total and unconditional support to the re-election bid of OGA and have further committed to fully mobilise my political structure and the entire Turning Point Agenda (TPA) Team to integrate seamlessly into the OGA Campaign Organization, as part of a broader strategic consolidation for victory.

This decision reflects not a retreat, but a responsible alignment with party wisdom and a higher commitment to unity, continuity, and the collective interest of our people.

I remain steadfast in my loyalty to the APC and resolute in my dedication to the growth, stability, and sustained development of Ikorodu Constituency 1.

Together, we move forward; stronger, united, and victorious.

Victoria Ascerta!!!
