February 25, 2023.

The Number One Citizen of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Hon. Dr. Funmilayo Akande Muhammed and her political ally Hon. Olumuyiwa Wahab Jimoh performed their civil duty by casting their votes at their respective polling units today.

The Numero uno of Apapa Iganmu casted her vote at Obale in polling unit 023, while her counterpart casted his vote at Makanjuola in Sari Iganmu, polling unit 024, Lagos State. Hon. Funmilayo Akande Muhammed after casting her vote called on all electorates in the local government to conduct themselves for peaceful polls.

The both public office holder confirmed that the BVAS was working perfectly and the election process was peaceful. The chairman advised that the candidates of all political parties on the ballot boxes should accept the outcome of the results in good faith and only seek redress at any competent court of jurisdiction if need be instead of inciting any form of violence or unrest in the community.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you – I hope you cherish the love in your life and that we all do our part to love our neighbors and our community! How do you show your “love” for our community – by getting involved, getting to know your neighbors and new residents, taking care of your property and our public property, sharing a smile or small kindness with others. It is contagious and can make a difference in someone’s life and in our community as a whole!

Election Day is February 25th – if you haven't collected your PVC that will be use to vote, you can go to INEC offices in your LGA to obtain it. Please take the time to learn about the candidates and issues on the ballot, but most importantly make sure you vote! Your voice matters!

We joined the good people of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, political associates, friends and family to congratulate the Second in Command of the People's Council, Hon. Olufemi Olawale Bamidele on the occasion of his birthday today.

Hon. Dele has been a true blue and an all-round able Vice Chairman to the Executive Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed since they both took the oath of office and he has contributed immensely to the total transformation of Apapa Iganmu in no small measure.

His unalloyed loyalty to his principal has earned him a priceless award during the last concluded 2023 budget retreat program and people has commended him for his humility and synergies with her boss to lift Apapa Iganmu from the shackles of oblivion to prominence.

As he celebrates his natal day today, on behalf of the Numero Uno of Apapa Iganmu Council, Hon. Funmilayo Akande Muhammad, the management staff and the vibrant and good people of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, we ask for nothing from God Almighty but for him to grant him longevity of life in good health and prosperity. APAPA IGANMU COUNCIL CHAIRMAN WELCOME OUR CHILDREN'S BACK TO SCHOOL.

The Executive Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed has welcome all the Children's in Apapa Iganmu LCDA back to school as they resume after a short Yuletide break today.

In her statement conveyed via her media publicist, Com'r Ikenna Ozoemena, she said, "I welcome all the pupils and students living in Apapa Iganmu and beyond back to school after a short vacation. As I always say, in the nearest future, education could be the biggest investment.

"On that premise, I encourage all students and pupils to be focus on their educational pursuits and devoid from any social vices that's capable of destroying their future. My administration has taken education as a top priority and during the last 5 Years of my administration, I have invested enormously in reviving the educational standard in Apapa Iganmu.

"Every year, I give out more than 200 UTME and GCE form as well and I had shared more than twenty thousands school bags and other educational materials in the past. I want to implore you all to focus on your studies and make your parents proud."

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.

FUNMILAYO AKANDE MUHAMMED IN CLOSED-DOOR MEETING WITH APC CANDIDATES AND LEADERS WITHIN APAPA IGANMU LCDA.

January 05, 2023.

The Executive Chairman of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed hold a closed-door meeting today with other APC leaders within Apapa Iganmu and the both candidates who'll be representing Apapa Federal Constituency at the green chamber and Lagos State House of Assembly respectively.

The meeting started at 12 pm. on Thursday, Funmilayo Media Publicist learnt. Some of the candidates at the meeting are Hon. Samuel Adedayo and Musbau aina Lawal amongst other reputable leaders that attended.

The meeting holds less than 24 hours before the commencement of LGA meeting tomorrow that will be held at Marine Beach at 3 pm.

At the end of the closed-door meeting, the entire leaders wears a smiling face and exchange pleasantries in a well courteous manner while their supporter's were seen chanting "In Apapa Iganmu, we are one indivisible family."

Funmilayo Akande Muhammad has joined multifarious family, friends and love ones to felicitate her industrious and purposed driven Council Manager of the Peoples Council, Princess Morenikeji Ashabi Okwuonu on her attainment of another significant milestone.

APAPA IGANMU LCDA: YEAR 2023 STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATIVE FORUM.

THEME: ACHIEVING BETTER SOCIO-ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION.

Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area under the leadership of Hon. Dr. (Mrs.) Funmilayo Akande Muhammed held her year 2023 Stakeholders Consultative Forum today which was titled, "Achieving Better Socioeconomic Growth Through Community Participation" to discuss the issues and challenges residents in each Ward's within Apapa Iganmu communities are currently facing.

The stakeholders consultative forum is an annually program that help the council to identify problems and issues residents are facing in their respective Ward's beyond the reach of the council chairman and it also help the management's of the council to prepare their budgets for the next fiscal year. This year forum witnessed the presence of diverse people from each Ward's and they passionate told the chairman issues to tackle in the next budget year.

The Chairman, Hon. (Dr). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed after reeling off her scorecards to the public in year 2022 promised to intensify her efforts and productivity until all nooks and crannies of Apapa Iganmu Community are fully revamp to a world class standard. In her speech, despite being moody over the demised of her political father, Hon. CZ Anago, the chairman was able to give a resounding speech and promised to touch all sectors and never rest on her laurel's.

The Council Manager, Princess Morenikeji Okwuonu also extol the chairman for her magnanimity and milestones achievements in the last one year despite the low revenue generated in 2022 fiscal year. The Council Treasurer, Mrs. Adenike Folukwe also seized the opportunity to dished out a stern warning to those invading tax or bribing their way out to put a stop to it or face the comeuppance that follows.

The stakeholders consultative forum record the presence of the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olufemi Bamidele, the SLG, Hon. Omoniyi Ajibade, the leader of the 5th legislative arm, Hon. Kamorudeen Ojora and his Colleagues, Supervisor Councillors and Special Advisers, NYCN Members, CDC and CDA, Iyaloja and Babaloja, Security personnel, Bale and Iyalode amongst others.

ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: APAPA IGANMU COUNCIL BOSS REPLACING ASPHALT WITH INTERLOCKING PAVING STONES IN THE ONGOING ROAD CONSTRUCTION AT AKOREDE STREET, BADIA IJORA, LAGOS STATE.

November 13, 2022.

CONSIDERING the peculiar soil texture and the fact that Badia Ijora in Lagos State is prone to flooding, the Executive Chairman of Apapa Iganmu local government council, Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Fumilayo Akande Muhammed has directed firms handling its road reconstruction jobs to adopt the use of interlocking paving stones instead of asphalt at all her road projects especially the troublesome spots.

In fact, she has purchased the interlocking paving stones that will consummate the ongoing Akorede road reconstruction projects and the engineers and his employees are on site on daily basis to give the road a new befitting and eye-catching look. During an Inspection of the road projects today, it's obvious the capacity of the job is increasing and the workers are happy as well.

Meanwhile, Hon. Dr. Funimilayo Akande Muhammed-led administration would continue to be creative and resourceful in its unceasing work to keep all Apapa Iganmu roads motorable and increase the socioeconomic activities in all nooks and crannies of the community. Also, the welfare of the workers, health and safety on the site and environmental aesthetics have been put in place.

The Executive Chairman and other members of Funmi and Friends (FF) felicitates with one of their staunch supporter and loyal member in person of Adewunmi Ayinde who's fondly called Adex, the CEO of Legit Foot Wears on the occasion of his birthday.

It feels great to celebrate a man who have over the years carved a niche for himself despite his physical challenges and has continued to grow independently when others like him with lesser challenges would have resorted to soliciting for alms and depending on people for their day-to-day survival.

His nature doesn’t change the fact that he has shown enormous commitments in community development and that has really endears him to so many political leaders across the local government area and beyond.

Adex has a great deal of personal significance, considering that there is still a lot of stigma and barriers that (Physical Challenged) people face. So, it is important that people like him knows that he can live his life authentically, be a good person, work hard, serve the community and accomplish his dream. So, I think it is really important that we can acknowledge his challenges and also let people know that he has being the best version of himself and has contributed to his being and able to be successful in his own way.

Ahead of the 2023 presidential elections, the Executive Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed is fortunate to be amongst other reputable and renowned female politicians within Nigeria that made up the list of Tinubu/Shettima presidential women campaign committees.

It was recalls that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, had included the pragmatic council boss in its presidential campaign list to mobilize voters specially women for its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Shettima from Lagos central and South-west at large.

The chairman who was issued a certificate in that regard and a customised APC fabric popularly known as Ankara will be working closely with the incoming first and second ladies of the federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Hajia Shettima remotely. She expressed her gleefulness at the council secretariat with other women and took a pics with them.

With the likes of Hon. Dr. (Mrs). Funmilayo Akande Muhammed making the list and the composition of various committees that would help strengthen the campaign base and the realisation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ambition, victory is assured.
