Located on Thompson 23, Ikoyi, Lagos, a Taiwanese-style 🧋milk tea shop and bakery managed by Daniel Wu, prominent Taiwanese expat in Nigeria, had its grand opening on the morning of September 17, 2025.

🇹🇼Taiwan's Representative Andy Yih-Ping Liug and his wife joined the inauguration ceremony with more than 50 people from all walks of life in the neighborhood and next-door Taipei Representative Office to give their best wishes🤞 for its prosperous business.

🇳🇬奈及利亞僑務委員吳孟宗擘劃的臺式風味烘焙奶茶坊Thompson 23在9月17日上午歡欣開幕，駐奈國代表處大使劉翼平夫婦與同仁、奈及利亞台灣商會聯合總會理監事幹部，以及奈國各界人士50餘位共同慶賀開業大吉🧧、生意興隆✨。

史上首次在奈及利亞活潑舞動的三尊電音三太子，為Thompson 23正式營運揭開序幕。🇹🇼僑委會致贈奈國臺僑界的電音三太子，雖然首度現身，但也成功吸引賓客與路人駐足觀賞。隨後吳孟宗、劉翼平等上香祈福與剪綵，祝願💵財源滾滾、近悅遠來。

吳孟宗表示，烘培坊主要販售臺式口味麵包🍞、西點與珍珠奶茶等飲品，「所有原物料均來自臺灣，雖然成本較高，但我希望提供原汁原味的臺灣產品讓大家享用」。而且吳孟宗規劃時，一向秉持「確保衛生」與「堅持品質」；他強調「無論製冰🧊或洗滌，店內均採用RO逆滲透水以完全滅菌，讓消費者安心喝茶飲」。他期許Thompson 23能夠成為網紅拍照打卡🚩名店，並逐步成為奈國主流社會最優質、最接地氣的臺灣茶飲烘培坊。

劉翼平表示，未來將向前來駐處拜訪的賓客大力推薦👍，因為Thompson 23就在駐處隔鄰，舉凡茶敘、約晤或舉辦活動，都近在咫尺。奈及利亞國際青年商會一行7人正巧在同日拜訪駐處，劉翼平引導介紹後，青商會一行多方購買烘焙糕點與飲品，更與吳孟宗晤談甚歡🤝，成功行銷道地臺灣味。

奈及利亞資深臺商吳迺麟、管繼平等也親來恭賀，欣喜Thompson 23將成臺僑商界日後聚會交誼之新據點；更愉快感覺店內裝潢、布置擺設與使用器具，「都很有家鄉的感覺」。

The pride of Taiwan, Kavalan Single Malt Whiskey, has successfully launched in Nigeria. It’s Brand Ambassador David Chen and Section Manager Henman Li from producer King Car Co. came to Lagos to host a small size tasting dinner for the Taiwanese community on August 11th, 2025. The event invited attendees to celebrate the success of Kavalan Whiskey in exploring the high-end consumer market in Nigeria.

出席餐敘包括駐奈及利亞代表劉翼平夫婦、僑務顧問陳淑芳、奈國台商會秘書長張智亮、僑商黃志光、貿協中心主任林志都等。品牌大使陳威宇以流暢英語介紹噶瑪蘭威士忌的風味與相關製程，不僅專業而深入，還佐以台灣宜蘭好山好水、台北101等台灣優質意象照片，深獲僑界與在場奈及利亞參與者一致好評。

The tasting participants included Chief of Taiwan Mission Andy Liu and wife Yolanda Chen, Taiwanese Overseas Affairs Adviser Mrs. Shu-fang Chen Okorie, Secretary General Luke Chang of the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria, Director Cris Lin of the Taiwan Trade Centre, etc. Brand Amb. David Chen effortlessly introduced Kavalan Whiskey’s unique texture, flavors and the process of distilling. With beautiful images of Taiwan’s Yilan Country and Taipei 101 Building, his presentation received a heartfelt response from the audience.

劉翼平代表致詞時，非常感謝世界級的台灣精品噶瑪蘭威士忌能跨國界進入奈國市場，金車企業在此地的首場拓銷品嚐活動即邀我僑界共同參與，意義非凡。而令人驕傲的是8月初在首都阿布加拜會奈國第一夫人時，就致贈了象徵台灣精緻工藝的噶瑪蘭威士忌作為伴手禮；也因此期許能夠繼高科技智能產業後，成功行銷奈國甚至全球。

Representative Liu delivered remarks appreciating the way Kavalan Whiskey has been recognized across the continents and is now entering the Nigerian market. Mr. Liu had the privilege of presenting Kavalan Whiskey to Madam First Lady of Nigeria in early August, showcasing Taiwan’s fine craftsmanship. He sincerely hopes that Taiwan’s products, beyond high-tech, like fine brewery can be well received in both Nigeria and around the world.
