*SUMMARY OF NORTH CENTRAL ZONAL MEETING WITH THE NATIONAL COMMANDANT OF PEACE CORPS OF NIGERIA, PROFESSOR DICKSON A.O. AKOR*

=> The National Commandant of the Corps, Professor Dickson Akor welcomed all officers and men who were in attendance and appreciated them for being patient and of determined spirit despite the challenges that the corps recently faced.

=> He said that despite all the challenges, the corps remains poised to see that its goals are met.

=> Professor Dickson spoke on the recent invasion of the National HQs by men of the Police. He mentioned that the case is currently before the court.

=> On the current state of the bill, the NC mentioned that everything is being done to see that the good news breaks in due time.

=> He revealed that the corps management and senate majority leader have been in talks towards seeing that the bill is taken before the 2025 appropriations budget is transmitted by the presidency to the National Assembly.

=> According to the 001 of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, there are assurances of final Jubilation around the corner.

=> Speaking on the 2 projects currently before the corps; the E-wallet and the Appointment letter for National, Zonal, State, District and Local Government Commanders, the NC said the E-wallet will soon be in various state commands for concerned officers to pay and pick.

=> Professor Akor said Local Government Excos will have theirs done after the National, Zonal and State Excos, as well as District and Local Government Commanders are through.

=> In a similar vein, he said modalities are being put in place to see that the appointment letters are also issued to the officers.

=> Professor Akor urged all officers and men of the corps to stay positive, resolute and updated as the collective dreams and aspirations for the corps will soon be met.

=> The NC also reassured all officers and men of the corps that all is well with the bill for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Peace Corps,
