National Pension Commission (PenCom) has granted regulatory forbearance to Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) to invest pension fund assets in the proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals FZE. The approval is contained in a circular issued by the commission and addressed to all licensed pension fund operators. The circular was signed by the Director of Surveillance Department at PenCom, Abdulrahman Saleem.

The Children Sexual and Gender-based Violence Offences Court in Awka, on Thursday remanded a 39-year-old bricklayer, at the correctional centre over alleged defilement of a 17-year-old girl. The defendant, Friday Tunde is standing trial on a one-count charge of defilement. He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
