BIRTHDAY: AYEDATIWA, ADETIMEHIN AND OTHER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS REJOICE WITH OLABIMTAN IN A GRANDSTYLE ON HIS 65TH BIRTHDAY AT PROMISEDLAND CHURCH.

The Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, other government officials, party leaders of APC, and others today rejoice with Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan in thanksgiving for his 65th birthday anniversary.

Hon. Olabimtan, who is one of the Elders of Promisedland Church, Akure and SUBEB Chairman, admonishes children of God loaded with glory to know that there will always be challenges but with faith and prayers, he/she will prevail. He made this known at his birthday thanksgiving service in Promisedland Prophetic Ministries, Akure.

The Celebrant noted that prayer and faith are spiritual tools to prevail over all challenges of life.

"I thank God for the grace, that I now turned 65, it has been God, despite all challenges that comes my way.

"That there is no challenges in life, anyone who believes that is a liar. Right from my days as a youth, I was a trouble maker, but despite that, God in his faithfulness, made me a member of House of Assembly and I became the Speaker, from there, I was lifted high in life"

In his sermon, the Senior Pastor of Promisedland Prophetic Ministries, Akure, Pastor Gbenga Akinbiyi, who spoke on the theme “The Secret Of Overflowing Grace And Glory” said grace is what you did not work for but you inherit.

He commended the boldness, obedience and faithfulness found in his character. The man of God congratulated Olabimtan for clocking another year in God’s grace and goodness.

"Baba Olabimtan is a man I love some much, he never looked at me as a small boy but full of boldness, obedient to the core and faithhful in things.

"Sir, I want to congratulate you for once again for your 65th Birthday, you will live to celebrate more in Jesus name".

First of all, I thank God almighty for the grace to witness yet another birthday, hale and hearty. I thank Him most sincerely for blessing and enriching my life with many amazing leaders, associates, friends and children.

The outpour of greetings, prayers, presents and presence to celebrate my birthday today were overwhelming. Indeed, *eniyan bo ni lara j’aso lo* . I really don’t know how best to appreciate you all for the show of love. As you celebrated and rejoiced with me, may God almighty grant you reasons to be celebrated always.

I use the occasion of my birthday to rededicate myself to the service of God and humanity. May God continue to glorify His name in our efforts.

*MY POSITION ON ONDO NORTH SENATORIAL SEAT FOR 2023*

Equity and altruism are my guiding principles; not only in politics, but also in all strata of life. This accounted for my uncompromising stand that the North must produce the next governor and that the person must do two terms, before and after the emergence of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu as the Governor of Ondo State.

Owo/ Ose Federal constituency, having produced the incumbent Governor, it was expected that the senate seat would remain in Akoko side of the North senatorial district.

You, my leaders and friends, not just from the North but also across the State, have been prompting me to take up the challenge and contest for the Ondo North senatorial seat. As noble and inspiring as this seem, I am using this medium to inform you of my decision not to contest for the Ondo North Senatorial seat in the interest of equity and fairness.

My voyage into politics was born out of sheer passion for service and desire to contribute my own quota to making life better and more meaningful for the generality of our people. Therefore, if my interest is truly to serve my people, I should be objective, selfless and pragmatic in the pursuit of my ambition.

Akoko is made up of two (2) Federal constituencies; North and South. In this present democratic dispensation, since 1999, Akoko South Federal constituency has had the fortune of producing a Governor, Chief Adebayo Adefarati; a Deputy Governor Alhaji Ali Olanusi and; a 3-term senator, who is the incumbent, Senator Ajayi Borofice. In the interest of equity and equality, I am therefore of the opinion that Akoko North Federal constituency should be allowed to produce the next Senator to represent Ondo North in the 10th Assembly.

I am, therefore, officially announcing my withdrawal from the senatorial race and pledge to work with and support our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to produce the next Senator for Ondo North from Akoko North federal constituency. May God lead us right, and may the best from Akoko North Federal constituency represent Ondo North at the senate of the 10th Assembly.

I thank God for how far He has used me for our people, for what He has done for me, and for making you to be part of my life's political trajectory. I owe my political achievements to your prayers, guidance, support and love. You have remained my greatest treasure on this voyage, for which I will eternally be grateful.

As I continue to serve our people under the able, pragmatic, and altruistic leadership of our Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, and in whatever capacity God bestow on me in the future, I appeal to you all to please accept and support my decision on this senatorial ticket, and join hands with me and the Leaders of our party as usual, to ensure victory for our party, not only in Ondo North but also across board.
