The Ethiopian government has unveiled a new digital platform, VISIT ETHIOPIA, designed to modernize and unify the country’s tourism services. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Information Network Security Administration (INSA), the platform will serve as a one-stop hub for travel bookings, tourism information, and visitor engagement.
Speaking at the launch in Addis Ababa, Tourism Minister Selamawit Kassa explained that the platform aims to showcase Ethiopia’s rich cultural and natural heritage, make travel planning easier, and enhance the visitor experience.
Beyond promoting attractions, VISIT ETHIOPIA offers practical tools like booking assistance, visa and currency information, telecom support, and real-time updates. It also allows users to share feedback—helping shape future tourism strategies.
With 12 UNESCO World Heritage sites, Ethiopia is positioning itself as a must-visit destination in Africa, and this platform is a key step toward that goal.

Namibia and India have signed a new cybersecurity agreement—part of a broader push to deepen cooperation on tech and defense. But beneath the formalities lies a pressing issue: a large number of African businesses remain underprepared for rising cyber risks.
While the MoU signals strategic alignment and international support, recent data points to a more sobering reality. Overconfidence and limited internal capacity continue to leave many organizations across the continent vulnerable to threats that are becoming more sophisticated by the day.
This partnership could be a much-needed boost, but the real challenge isn’t just infrastructure—it’s human risk. Closing that gap will require more than agreements. It calls for practical investment in awareness, training, and accountability at every level.

Seedstars .rs is taking on a new role as co-manager of the SECO Startup Fund (SSF), a CHF5 million (about US$6.3 million) initiative supported by the Swiss government. The fund is aimed at backing early-stage startups in underserved regions across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
Now managed jointly by Seedstars and iGravity, the revamped fund is doubling down on ventures that often fall through the cracks of traditional financing—businesses with strong impact potential but limited access to capital.
The focus isn’t just on funding. With Seedstars’ experience in emerging markets and iGravity’s investment expertise, the SSF is shaping up to be more than just a checkbook. It’s a bet on bold ideas where resources are scarce but innovation runs deep.
