YIFI KIDS ONLINE DEBATE

Good day dear YIFIans worldwide,

YIFI Rural COVID - 19 Sensitization kicked off today and the team visited Comprehensive Health Centre, Ileoluji and Basic Health Centre Bamikemo oja in Ileoluji/Okeigbo LGA of Ondo State.

The team was led by the Executive Secretary of YIFI Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun.

The baseline data gotten from participants through interview depicted that there is no constant Sensitization on COVID-19 and also a general believe that the Virus does not exist.

A short and explicit lecture on COVID-19 was delivered by Ondo State YIFI Coordinator Fellow Akinlalu Akinjide and supported by the Head of Operations Fellow Jonathan Ayilara. The lecture was engaging and participatory.

We had a total of 41and 56 participants respectively in Bamikemo Oja and CHC Ileoluji. The total number of participants was 97.

After the lecture, each participant was given a customized face mask by YIFI and the health facilities were given sanitizers, soaps and washing hand basins. Also, participants were able to mention correctly symptoms of COVID-19, importance of personal hygiene, face mask and social distancing.

The Executive Secretary gave a wonderful closing remark by mentioning YIFI activities and the organization's collaboration with the government to ensure quality health care services in Nigeria.

Finally, the participants and health workers in these facilities appreciated the kind gesture of the Sensitization and prayed for our CEO Princess Foluke Ogunlowo Adebayo.

The Sensitization was a huge success.
