ISPON-NYSC SAFETY AWARENESS LECTURE

After a brief message delivered on behalf of ISPON National President, Engr Timothy Iwuagwu FISPN, the Rivers State Coordinator who also doubles as the Secretary to the National Committee on Safety Ethics, Compliance and Enforcement, Mr Fasusi Olayinka FISPN went further to deliver ISPON lecture on National Safety Consciousness, using the opportunity to emphasize on the efforts of the Institute in fighting quacks in safety practice.

The Institute warned the public about consequences of engaging in illegal safety practice and reinstated the commitments of the Institute, with support of law enforcement agencies to clamp down on criminals in the safety profession, in line with Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria Act 2014.

This is to inform the General Public that the following products are approved for withdrawal, suspension and cancellation by NAFDAC. They are therefore no longer permitted for manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, advertisement, sale and use within Nigeria.
Please note that:

1. The Certificate of Registration of a product is said to be withdrawn when the use of the Certificate of Registration of that product is discontinued upon request of the Market Authorisation Holder.

2. The Certificate of Registration of a product may be suspended when the conditions upon which the NAFDAC Registration license was issued are no longer met, and the Agency is to make a determination.

3. The Certificate of Registration of a product is said to be cancelled when the NAFDAC Certificate of Registration license of that product is revoked by NAFDAC.

The National President, Engr Timothy Iwuagwu FISPN and the Registrar, Dr. Mrs Esther Williams FISPN, on behalf of the Governing Board inducted 35 new members into the Institute during the induction exercise last month, August 22 at Rivers State Police Officers' Mess.

Engr Timothy Iwuagwu FISPN seized the opportunity to warn quacks and impostors, reminding them of the serious consequences of illegal practice in Nigeria.
